Un-timely
The Ouroboros. "Time is flat circle", as so well put by Rust from True Detective. My main problem with Christian cosmogenesis and eschatology is its linearity. There is a God who created a world full of mockeries of itself and it will end and be united with it again, hurray. "What was before God?" is a question they must endlessly (hey!) torture themselves with *because* their time is linear. If one understands time as a solid, both in a physical and esoteric sense, the question loses its meaning. "But cause comes before effect." "No, that's just how *we* see time." - from Tenet, Christopher Nolan's exploration into solid time. The Protagonist is certainly making decisions of his own free will, yet they have already happened before he set out to enact them. "What's happened's happened." Note that if time-linearity is removed (and thereby cause and effect), Aristotelian/Cartesian logic no longer has the chokehold on human thinking that it does now ("therefore"? no thanks). Logic has a vector, as in a line with a direction, and that direction is forward in time. In circular/solid time, there is *only* the circle/wheel, a totality which may be oppressing to some but liberating to others.

I think a great conflagration will come and yet it won't absolve us of our sins.
