i would have no cause to know who bens*n boone even is except that last weekend i was in a thrift store playing one of those horrible "only the hits" stations (we used to call it a top 40 station, back when such a list mattered) and they were playing every other song a bens*n boone song, and the dj kept cutting in to say how much everyone in the studio was loving it, and they were going to play the whole album straight through later today! and i was like haha there is no way. no way anyone who makes a career in music to the extent that they work at a radio station, can say they 'love' any of these mall food court wannabe harry styles songs. how much money did the label pay to force us all to be listening to every. single. song. on this album and why couldn't they have just picked a few singles to promote so our suffering could be shortened. so anyway i very much enjoyed this from pitchfork

been feeling lately like i have less creative thoughts and used to be smarter. and some of that is probably the rosy shades of memory, but also... i need to throw my phone into the sea. but then i would never know what anyone is up to because nobody can communicate anymore, they expect you to just watch their stories and look at their posts. they need to make an instagram that just shows you things posted by your actual friends. and that tells you when there's a QAF event in LA. I would have gone to that!!!

having a large bowl of popcorn for dinner is never a wise decision but i can especially NOT recommend having the spicy ranch popcorn at alamo. it does not taste much like ranch and is spicy enough i was coughing (which i don't think the other patrons of the Final (final) (Actually This Is The Last One) Reckoning appreciated). and popcorn for dinner is never a good idea digestively but wow. regrets this morning. sticking to to the parm herb truffle next time
