THRALLS OF POWER is a fanmade animatic series based on The Legend of Zelda, imagining the events that transpired between the end of Ocarina of Time up to the distant past referenced in Twilight Princess, set in the so-called Child Timeline.

This is the story of a failed coup, of a desperate uprising, of figures of legend reckoning with their own agency in a kingdom haunted by its past, and the remnants of the Goddesses who forged its fate.

The main cast comprises the usual suspects, but will put a more central focus on Impa, Ganondorf and Zelda, as well as introducing other characters and their perspectives as well, including several gerudos (and yes Nabooru is here of course!)

Thralls is, before anything else, my excuse to do visual character studies. And while it does try to expand upon the alluded lore and wonderful world of Hyrule as presented by Nintendo, it is important to note the story veers further into dark fantasy (and tragedy) than anything that exists in the established canon. The goal is not necesserily to perfectly blend with the canon tone, but to ponder and expand on thematic ideas the games rarely explore in-depth.

This is a solo project I've started at the end of 2023 and have been sporadically working on ever since. The release of episode 1 is estimated in November 2025, since I'm about 85-90% done with the process (but I want ample room to be finnicky). The first episode will be around 40 minutes long.

I do pretty much everything, including the soundtrack (though generously use people's contributions from FreeSound, among other sources, for the sound design), which does imply that 1) I am very slow, and 2) there isn't any voice acting. I've been told this isn't as distracting as I feared, but either way, you are warned!
