“Rafael and Hope would still be the best people I know,” he said. That didn’t come from Landon that was all them. Landon looked at the other. “Maybe,” he said. “Lizzie and Josie have great lives and you are died. I think they got exactly what they deserved but did you?” He asked. He hasn’t been the ruler of limbo for no reason. He felt for everyone. "You don't want to be more than your role. I know the role my father had for me sucked. I did everything to change it."

♊ — "Woof, so selfless of you. You'd really just, remove yourself from the equation? What's the point of that?" It wasn't his intention to actually discuss the others fantasy, but something about it tickled him wrong. "If you aren't there, who would they be, really? Some strangers you saved. Woopdidoo." But he smirked, seeing the switch. He wondered if he was recognized by this kid—and the final comment all but assured it. "Want me to feel like you do. I should see myself as this obstacle for the people I loved," he said with a sizzle. "Newsflash. They deserved what they got, and they deserve what's coming. That's the point. I'm playing my role."

Landon chuckled weakly. “Everything,” he said. “There is a young version of me out there about to experience 18 years of abuse in the bad days, neglect on the average days or just knowing that no one wanted him on the good days. If I can give him another life, parents that love him? Why shouldn’t I?”

“Changing it doesn’t mean I don’t end up at the Salvatore school,” he pointed out. In fact maybe he could be there earlier given he could tell people what he was. “Plus, I already gave them up for an eternity in limbo. Salvatore School would be safer with me, don't you think?”

"Over my dead body, are you gonna change the future." Kaleb replied, taking a seat next to Landon. "You really gonna give up the people that love you, Lan?"

“Well say I knew a good 30 years,” he commented. A small smile of amusement at the idea of a crystal ball. “Not sure about a crystal ball but I have some pretty clear details,” he said, looking up at Klaus. “Like I know how your future ends.” That felt like the wrong thing to say to Klaus Mikaelson, but what was he going to do? Kill him.

Raising an eyebrow at the question posed, he was amused by the fact that there was someone in this town who was openly conversing with him - wondering if the younger man knew who he was. "Well that would be dependent on what kind of future we're talking about. So unless you've got a crystal ball.."

"Yet you still knew where to find me," he pointed out. "Even when I was dead." That felt like he still always found his way back to her. He understood it, how much she had lost, but he also had something she didn't with her humanity off... hope. "And what if you can save them? You are here, right now, you kill the hollow before it can hurt anyone. You stop your mother from dying. You save your dad. You kill Malivore before it's a choice between me and the world. We have years to make better plans before all that stuff happens. Are you going to miss that chance because you are scared to turn it on again?"

"You do," she acknowledged. "Until you don't." She was so tired of losing people, of loving them - only to lose them. It was a fact she'd refused to accept: at the end, it will only be here. No one else. Even if he was back now, no longer attached to Limbo, he still wouldn't last forever. "Maybe I would enjoy it more with my humanity on, but if I turn it on, then I have to feel that I'm going to lose everyone again. The Hollow is still out there in this time. My mom will die. My dad will die. I've already mourned them once. I can't do it again."

“Somewhere better,” he mused. It wasn’t like dead now and unloved as a child could be worse. “I would have to bring my best mate with me. I couldn’t leave him behind,” he said mostly to himself. Rafael wouldn't hate him for that. Maybe he could find them both a nice family, get Lizzie of someone to compel the parents to take them in. They deserved that chance.

"Emotions are a good thing," Ana replied. "Our experiences shape us into who we are. If you hadn't gone into foster care, where would you have ended up?" He reminded her of her son. Part of her wanted to protect him, just as she would her child.
