I write sins AND tragedies. Shrieking about Rings of Power and all things LOTR, probably.

most basic treatments for sickness involve some form of salt water (drinking electrolytes, gargling with warm salt water, epsom salt baths) as a way of microdosing going to the seaside

Don't mind me, I just binged the first two seasons of the Rings of Power thinking that Gil-galad was played by Eric Bana until I remembered the man is in his mid 50s.

first rule of being a rare pair shipper is find a freak or three who can be convinced to enjoy the rare pair as much as you do. second rule is feed each other's insanity

imagine not cancelling shows because they didn't meet your unattainable expectations. imagine letting shows time to find and build their audience. imagine having seasons that last longer than 8 ridiculous (if you're lucky) episodes. imagine not having to wait at least two years between seasons. imagine taking time to build plots, characters, relationships. imagine having the greatest performers in your show and not fumbling the bag. imagine respecting your cast, crew and audience enough not to pull the plug on well-loved shows. IMAGINE not letting capitalism and bigotry ruin the arts. LMAO IMAGINE.

Whoever saw Jack Lowden as River Cartwright and decided he should be First Age Sauron is actually a genius. Somewhat unassuming, has “good” intentions but massively fucks up the execution of them - it’s perfect, really.

I won’t explain myself, but people who drive cybertrucks are desperate to be the villains of a dystopian novel.

the high king’s handmaiden
Gil-galad x OC; T; 24k
She had seen him with a weapon before, of course. He had commanded a great host in Beleriand against the might of Morgoth in the early days of his reign. He was a different man with a weapon in his hands than the politician in golden robes to whom she had attended all these years. He was a different man—brutal and destructive. Deadly.
In a fitted tunic, he swung Aeglos at a target with exacting precision, striking hard. Then, with unfathomable speed, he whirled and struck again, slicing clean through the fabric filled with compounded hay and sand. His dark hair stuck to his neck with sweat. After hours spent sparring with his captains, he seemed tireless still, going through the motions that, even all these years later, looked so natural to him as breathing.

If the Aiel and the Forsaken have taught me anything, it's that the Aes Sedai don't know everything about it. See, if I stopped fighting it, even for a second, I'd be gone. It's just always there.
