do u have any tips on shading a belly like stella’s? my character’s abdomen area is really similar, but she always looks like she has a baby bump instead, so i avoid it, but then her stomach looks too flat
Oh gosh oh geez I’ll do my best. But really the best thing you can do is look up references. I kind of have myself as a reference cuz i’ve always been kind of chub.
So its fat. Fat is not really firm. Its jiggly. It hangs, sags and folds. Unless your character is oiled up it wouldn’t really shine much. I find adding shine to things make them look a lot harder like a pregnant belly. Pregnant bellies are taut. The skin is tight over the belly.
When it comes to shading, i block out shapes like pictured above. Stella still has slight muscle definition under her chub so i have those two abdominal muscles kind of blocked out? IDK THIS IS WHY I’M NOT A TEACHER. I DON’ TKNOW TERMS FOR THINGS. this is why i don’t rp either i can’t into words
