Being an op and being an admin are two different things. While both admins and ops have godlike abilities, an admin is tied to their server, while an op is not. One responsibility (and consequence) of being an admin is that because they are tied to their servers, they can actually FEEL when their server gets corrupted or messed with via glitches. Ops don't have that connection, so they don't feel anything from it.

When the server corruption or glitching gets REALLY bad, it's painful, and can lead to corruption of the admins themselves, and at worst, deletion of admins - meaning, the admins are wiped into oblivion, and cannot be revived. Of course, the fact of admins and servers being tied together was known by Parrot and Spoke, but the extent of damage possible by this connection wasn't known until Season 4.

During the Dupe Wars and and general exploits happening, Parrot would have an constant ache. He didn't think much of it, because it's a typical thing admins face with glitches and corruption. But when the Wormhole opened up, the stakes and consequences were much more dire for Parrot. As the world became more corrupted, and the glitches and exploits kept escalating, Parrot kept pushing on, despite the excrutiating pain and his very existence being destroyed from the inside out. But he kept going, because the 3 heart trio had to survive, and he had to survive, and then it'll be over and done with. With that thought in mind, he ignored the fact that his own player code was crumbling away due to the corruption. After Spoke showed them the control room, and the season seemed to be over, Parrot's body and mind seemed to have given up, along with his hopes of surviving.

Parrot doesn't remember what happened afterwards, but the next time he woke up, parts of his body, including entire limbs, and some of his feathers, were entirely black, as if they got torn away and replaced with a shadowy black filling. He thinks it's cool, but Spoke can't help but be reminded of what he almost lost whenever he sees Parrot's appearance, and it was his own fault. Spoke is also an admin now, because the next time something like the wormhole happens again, Parrot won't have to bear the burden alone.

Around two weeks ago, I decided to draw every single Lifesteal SMP member. Yesterday I finished it!! :D So happy with all the designs ive come up with for this group of block people that live RENT FREE in my head.
