The Sims 4 Mods: World Type Changes (Destination to Residential or vice-versa)

By popular demand, I’ve recreated my World Type Changes mods, which turn a Destination World into a Residential World or vice-versa. You can have your Sims live in Selvadorada, or make Windenburg a destination your Sims need to travel to!

IMPORTANT! You will need my Venue Changes mod to be able to set lots to Residential or Rental (depending on which type the world originally was). While it’s possible to move into a Rental lot or rent a Residential lot, doing so might cause unwanted glitches.

Note: I’ve also updated Venue Changes to work in Selvadorada. If you have an older version, please re-download if you need the update.

I don’t know whether or not these mods will work for players who have neither Outdoor Retreat nor Jungle Adventure. If you have neither of those, let me know if it works or not.

It’s possible to have a household live in a Destination world by moving them in first and then applying the mod (or applying a Destination to Residential mod and then removing it). However, the household will never be able to visit a Residential world (at least not while they’re being played). If you don’t mind this limitation, it can be good for storytelling.

Making San Myshuno a destination world won’t disable festival notifications or prevent you from teleporting using them. Because of this, I personally wouldn’t recommend making San Myshuno a Destination world, but the option is available for those who want it.

You can rent apartments in San Myshuno, but they’ll show up with a white square for an icon in map view. This is purely cosmetic and there doesn’t appear to be any other problems, but I haven’t tested for long enough to be sure.

I haven’t tested what effect making Selvadorada a Residential World will have on randomly generated tombs. Let me know how it goes for you.
