Horrifying to think about the impunity of the West. Horrifying to witness Western terrorists dehumanizing whole communities and then audaciously couching it as a necessary stepping stone to peace. A city was continuously bombed and put under seige for over 21 months in the name of Jewish safety, and the West upheld the opinion that this is not a genocide.

Iran celebrated, Israel celebrated the end of the war, and Gaza waits and calls, but no one listens. The war between Iran and Israel is over, but the war in Gaza is not over. Children are still dying, families are still being displaced, walking long distances, homes are still being demolished over the heads of those inside, and injustice still exists. Also, don't forget that hunger has never left people, but more importantly, Tumblr users, listen to me with your hearts. I always write posts asking you to participate with me and donate to my family, but unfortunately, I only find a few who do. If you want to do something for Palestine and for my family, you can donate via the link here. This donation campaign is what enables us to live in Gaza, which has been overlooked and is no longer cared for by many people.

Gaza Updates:
– At least 48 Palestinians have been killed by Israel since dawn, including 33 people waiting for aid.
– Al-Awda Hospital reports 60 people wounded by occupation forces near the Netzarim Corridor aid distribution point.
A message from us:
– Israel continues bombing across Gaza, with occupation ground forces destroying what remains of homes and infrastructure in the north.
With everything going on, Gaza is being forgotten. The genocide has not stopped and the forced starvation, mass slaughter of civilians and destruction of homes and infrastructure continues.
Please keep sharing videos, stories, and testimonies from Gaza on your socials. Go to marches, take direct action, educate people on BDS and use our resources to keep Gaza in peoples minds 🫂
Don't forget that we need help. Donate to us. We are going through very difficult circumstances and hunger is exhausting our bodies. Donate here

I'm making another post to bring attention to a fundraiser that has been extremely slow in receiving donations, and has very very few donations. As of me writing this post, they have not received a donation in 5 days.
Jamal could also use some help in anybody else willing to adopt his fundraiser: that is, to make posts bringing attention to his fundraiser every so often and remain in contact with him, his blog is @jamal-aldahdouh. He only has a couple people helping him and regularly doing this. If not, I ask that people please give attention to this fundraiser and reblog it whenever you see it, and maybe even tag others in the post.

🕊️ Nadin’s Hope: A Mother, A Memory, A Future
Hello, my name is Nadin I’m from Gaza. I’m a graphic design graduate. I’m a wife. And now — I’m a mother.
I finished my design studies just before the war began. I had dreams of starting a small design studio, of making art that told stories. I used to think about colors, fonts, sketches. I used to think about the future.
Then the war came. And the future became something we tried to hold onto, moment by moment.
On October 22, 2023, I was pregnant when a missile destroyed my husband’s family home. 25 members of our family were killed — his mother, his siblings, his nieces and nephews, children. Entire branches of a family tree gone in seconds.
We were displaced twice after that. Everything we had disappeared — home, safety, routine, rest.
A few weeks later, I gave birth to our daughter. There was no crib. No stillness. No celebration.
But she came into the world quietly and beautifully. And in her eyes, I saw something I hadn’t felt in weeks: life that still wanted to grow.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now, I spend my days holding her and trying to build a world around her that doesn’t shake with explosions.
We don’t know what comes next. There is no clear path. We are walking toward the unknown, step by step — with our daughter in our arms and hope as our guide.
🧡 How You Can Help
This is why I’m asking for support. Not for comfort — but for survival. To help care for one baby girl who entered the world after everything else collapsed.
If you can spare anything, it will help us:
Cover basic needs, so we can breathe and heal
Support a path toward even the smallest stability in a place that has none
My husband manages the donations securely through a U.S.-registered Stripe account. Everything is converted to USDT and exchanged here in Gaza. The rates are difficult — $100 becomes only 245 shekels — but we use every shekel carefully, with full transparency and documentation.
🎨 Sharing a Piece of Me
I want to share more than my need. Over the next few weeks, I’ll begin posting some of my graphic designs from before the war. They are pieces of who I was — and who I still am.
They may not be perfect, but they hold something real: my story before the silence, and my belief that beauty can still live alongside survival.
If you’ve made it this far, thank you. If you can give — thank you. And if you can’t, just sharing this post is a form of support I will never forget.

Israel cuts Gaza's final internet line, plunging it into total communication blackout.
Israel bombed the last main fibre route in Gaza, which means that as of June 12, all internet and fixed-line communication services are now completely cut off, further isolating Gaza amidst an ongoing genocide.
I am seeing more and more calls from inside of Gaza for help with eSims as that is currently the only way they can connect internally and with the outside world.
- Buy eSIMs here.
- If you can't afford it, you can donate any amount to this eSIM fund.
- Instructions on how to buy and share eSIMs.

maybe I just missed it in my tag crawl but I can't believe ppl are leaving hyuna out of the character analysis (outside of referencing her death) when both luka and ivan have been brought up in tandem to true face and how it recontextualizes their relationship despite neither of them appearing in either the main comic or the supplemental post. But hyuna is literally the second body mizi sits atop of (above till btw) and her face is the only one fully shown. like I get her and mizi have only had a short relationship but if we want to play that game literally her interactions with luka is only limited to round 5 but he's brought up WAY more beyond just ppl noting his similarity to the guy in the comic (and thus creating a more traumatic exp for mizi in R5).
maybe this is just favoritism bias (as they're both my faves) but like if we're clocking similarities due to facades there's a very simple line of women weilding a facade to seem brighter than the realities they face. Yes, Mizi uses it more as a defensive coping mechanisms and trying to ignore/diminish the pain she feels compared to hyuna, who uses it as means to break through pain of reality for others, a momentary reprieve she can barely experience herself. Though what they both end up doing is inspiring hope, even at the cost of themselves. like within the meta of the narrative quite literally hyuna's mv of them traversing back to stage inspired hope in people that they could maybe save ivan and till.
I know the reading of "mizi is a master manipulator" comes from quite literally taking what you're being told verbatim as the 2 figures calling mizi manipulative are the blonde boy and the manifestation of sua/herself in her psyche. but a) said blond boy physically assaults her after being rejected and berates her as a horrible person who uses people to her advantage and plays dumb to what they want bc he feels obligated to her bc he likes her and the idea that in the instance that she knows someone likes her (he didn't ask about till for no reason people) she insists her boundary of friendship (and ignores whatever "romantic" closeness that exists between them). She's supposed to be loveable and kind and utterly forgiving and she's not allowed to say no or be ungrateful for the attention she's receiving. There's a purposeful correlation to real life and how women aren't supposed to say no, you have to say everything that implies no but never no lest the man freaks the fuck out on you. We can see this in mizi and tills interaction later, while she opens with the fact she loves sua the most (nearly an outright rejection but not quite the same as in the previous interaction) before asking him if he can just stop liking her. It's still rather forward but notably, she's not telling him no and of course, clearly dislikes that he likes her bc she's pretty but makes no statement on how she feels to him about it. Clearly she's learned that she has to navigate interactions with guys that like her in a much different manner than regular people. Now I think it IS important to note that the only other m/f we've seen outright in the show is Hyuna and Luka, while having a more complicated relationship, also mirrors the trappings of a man woefully if not obsessively in love with a woman who does not reciprocate (from the surface/or in the way that matters). One that also originates in their childhood, notably from hyunas kindness towards luka that he ultimately pays back in violence (not towards her but still hurts her deeply). Or course that simplifies their dynamic quite a bit, but it's about the essence of kindness being repaid with a love that hurts that I think mizi also experiences not just with men but also sua when she chooses to lose in round 1 and leaves behind mizi. What the people around them chose to do was their own actions but both hyuna and mizi still experience that moment of "if I had never done this, maybe things would be better" They're both riddled with guilt from surviving when they don't think deserve to especially when the people they care about keep dying. and ultimately they both took action didn't they? Hyuna becoming the leader of the rebellion and Mizi rushing to come back for Ivan and Till. 2 woman forever dancing with "what-ifs" but now hyuna is just another what-if for mizi.
#alien stage#mizi alien stage#hyuna alien stage#i wont lie to you this started off with me going i wont do a proper analysis post on them bc i dont have the time and then i did it anyways#well its far from proper but i def made an analysis-length post about them anyways. someone steal this and make it sound smarter w/proof#i have so much more to say on the 2 of them my iconic miserable queens that inspire hope to everyone but themselves#im a mizi and hyuna day-oner bro dont sleep on them#if this doesnt make sense its bc its way too late and i got posessed by my love for them. vivimeng i see you putting hyuna there#i lied when i said i couldnt believe ppl were leaving hyuna out. i know why#anyways could i be biased in the mizi hyuna similarities in regard to their facades? probably#but if ppl want to be blatantly obtuse with mizi i can be a little silly with it#things i thought about but didnt out in the post itself: a list#sua starting off before turning into r1 mizi in a way where i think its a little more than mizi blaming herself for suas death#like its definitely that too but i also think the nature of their codependency and that scene in true face. makes me think#hyuluka and the societal contect of their relationship especially as a brown woman with a white passing (if not just white) man#the optics of desire that haunt over the way they are portrayed and percieved that strip away at them even on the metatextual level#tills love for mizi being profound and deep and necessary for him and simultaneously shallow irt mizi. both are true at the same time#mizi enacting violence onto sua the same way she experienced it bc it was with a person who she COULD retaliate against/hurt#sh did it on instinct but she was triggered and hurt but very interesting how her instinct went from flee and fawn to fight#something something gendered violence shoutout to the ppl who clocked that on their analysis first

the problem of fandom reducing characters who are women and/or people of colour to sexist/racist stereotypes is definitely aggravated by the fact that a lot of fans simply do not pay very much attention to these characters in the first place then subconsciously paper over the gaps in their perception with things they’ve been culturally conditioned to believe are true about people in the same category as said character
