Just yesterday I was researching Japanese ryokan and how they're structured (Wikipedia first, then some Youtube videos from travel vlog channels, as well as some websites of the ryokan itselves) and now I not only have an understanding of traditional Japanese inns, but also a travel list. An expensive one.

7 ⧽. is there a fic you wish you received feedback on, but didn't get any/much?

Oofffffff that's a tough question because tbh I wish for more responses to all of my fics even the ones that are already getting a decent amount But I remember being underwhelmed by the response to The World Can Wait a Bit back when I posted it, given that I put a lot of love into that fic and was really proud of it.

Apart from that, I'll say in general that I'd always like more feedback on recent in-progress multichapter works, because they are so work intensive and difficult to write for me. I love getting comments along the lines of "I love this, please update!"; but that said, for multichapters where I usually at least try to build a proper storyline with lots of references to canon (I'm talking about AUs in particular here) and foreshadowing, I really like to see comments picking up on that! Or talking about their favourite scenes and why they liked them, and stuff like that. And psst, those are the kinds of comments that make me the most excited to keep writing, too (because if you liked this chapter just you wait what I'll put in the next one)!

Yes this is especially about i'm the offering, come sink your teeth in because that's my most recent update and there is still a lot to write and while the fandom itself is very active the ship (or rather the combination of ships / the OT3) is a bit of a rarepair so I'm not getting that many responses but there's not much to be done about that so I don't want to complain too much

3 ⧽. what's something you like about your writing?

Kicking it off with the difficult "say something positive about yourself" question, I see! 😅 I think what I like about my own writing the most, both while writing and while re-reading, are the character interactions, especially the dialogue. Not always - sometimes it's a struggle - but usually I find these scenes flow really well. Also, sometimes I come up with a sentence with such a nice wording and structure and rhythm that makes me really proud like "ah yes look at yourself, master of prose that you are" 😂

10 ⧽. what genre is generally the easiest or most enjoyable for you to write? which is the hardest?

This is where it shows that when it comes to genres, I never exactly know what is meant. 😅 So I'm just going to assume something here. And even then, it's hard for me to say which one's the easiest or the hardest to write! That really depends on my current mood while writing. All have their own challenges - romantic comedy style fics really hinge on the character dialogue, as do more tragic fics where it's also important that the characters' emotions come through and the whole thing doesn't drift off into becoming too melodramatic or corny (now that I'm writing this down, I think I've decided that these kinds of tragic and emotional angst fics are definitely the most difficult to write). Fluff is usually pretty easy to write since I'm usually aiming for that warm fuzzy feeling instead of weaving together some plot that has to make sense.

Hmm... I feel like my "normal content" is already quite varied, so I don't have an immediate answer here. But fact is that I mostly write prose, and maybe I'd like to dabble in some poetry again. And do writing challenges, perhaps. A drabble challenge might be fun, and it wouldn't take up too much of my time since drabbles are only 100 words long. Maybe I'll do that someday.

I used to just dislike ABO in general, but since then I've read a good number of ABO fics that really explore the more interesting aspects of this AU (beyond "this character is an alpha and this other one an omega and that's why they want to fuck now, also alphas are the big strong manly man and omegas are just every negative stereotype about women rolled into one and transferred to a male character"), and I've had a few ideas for ABO fics of my own. So far I have only a few snippets flying around my docs, but someday I'll probably get around to finishing one of them (and officially disappoint my younger self who once proclaimed that the one thing she would never write is ABO, lol. Note to younger self: There is good ABO, you just haven't read it yet.)

Btw it still cracks me up that Rindo is officially ranked the second best potential boyfriend in Tenjiku. You mean, the guy who canonically enjoys breaking bones and hearing his opponents scream in pain? I guess he's able to contain his sadism to gang fights, then...? Kind of admirable, honestly
