hi, i wanted to ask how an event like this gets set up? like what are the steps or whatever. im thinking about making a mha f/f rarepair week event and just wanted to know if you had any tips. also i am so excited for this and will definitely be participating:D

Ngl there wasn't many step by step steps but:

1) either a: be prepared to do a lot of work yourself (im just one person when it comes to this one) or b: find a small group (i think we can still add users to sideblogs, or on other sites its easily to share a separate account. If u have a team set up a discord. Figure out roles you might want help with)

1.5) if you do it alone, keep it simple at first. Don't try to do too much.

2) be prepared to fail, ngl I wasnt sure if this would take off as well as it did

3) interest posts! Make a post with various rags to see if anyone is interested

4) posts w something to catch the eyes. I make my little banner edits bc I think it draws the eye better than just text. Might help with finding the ppl who want to participate

5) collect submissions and votes for themes. I think it helps gain interest

6) timing. Keep submissions for themes and voting for them to about a week each. Try to keep that time at max 2 months before the event. I personally think about 6 weeks is the sweet spot but figure out what works for ya

7) i have had experience with being a mod for pjofemslashweek (tho I didnt do much more than reblog) and doing the edits for the duke thomas week posts. Ive also participated in many weeks and reflected on their set ups. Asking for advice is good but also just looking and comparing how different events are done is helpful

8) have a rules lisit.

9) try to avoid setting the week on major holidays.

10) remember that these take time to grow

Hiii, I have a question. So ofc I would never draw adult/minor in a romantic/sexual/etc context, but I was wondering if that means Toga and Ochako can't be drawn as an adult and a minor at all, without that context? Like I know this is all meant to be togachako obvi but I'm just thinking about the Time Travel day, like is it enough if there's implied past Togachako, but in the work it's just adult Ochako + child Toga but there's nothing romantic happening? Sorry if this doesn't make sense lol I am struggling to word things here. If the answer's no that's fine bc I have a backup idea in mind. Super excited for the event!! This is my first time doing a fandom thing like this :)

What you're describing is totally fine and different from minor x adult.

I suppose context does matter with the time travel theme. And also I at least would not find it hard to tell the difference between a time travel fic where adult ochako meets a child himiko with Mentions/referencing/etc of togachako that takes/took place when they were the same age vs a fic where adult ochako travels back in time and is attracted to a child himiko

Similarly, time skip ochako and ghost himiko interacting wouldnt count as minor x adult

(The one rule about making them fit into the minor x adult dynamic is more of a response to something ive seen in other ship tags where people will deage one character but not the other to make weird content)

1. No not safe for work or smut, basically keep it pg 17. Even with the post canon/time skip stuff no smut or sexual content. (Mentions of mature activities is allowed and so is suggestive imagery.)

2. No background minor x adult ships. No background in cest. No making togachako fit either of those in an AU. I won't reblog it and will just block you. And screenshot and shame you on this page. I dont fuck with that stuff at all.

3. Don't be a jerk on other people's posts. No insults or unsolicited criticisms. Just be nice and respectful.

4. Have fun! Seriously this is to be a fun little thing so please have fun! Don't worry about posting everyday or even if you don't post at all!

Maybe.

Might be a good way to deal w ties and maybe some of the other semi popular choices. This year I actually got a lot more theme suggestions.

I haven't really consider it since just doing one theme per day just seemed easier
