G-pen & Maru pen

So about the Pokeddex Challenge for December... yeah, I never got around to doing that. I guess since I was already 3 days late I just never bothered to catch up, even though I told myself to do it so many times. -EXCUSES- I was in the process of drawing Lucario for the fighting type and never finished, haha..

What I was really gonna talk about: I got my stipend for the program that I recently finished and opened a debit card and the first thing I used it for was... manga supplies, I guess you could say. I bought a pack of G pen nibs, maru pen nibs, black and white ink, and a nib holder that could fit both nibs.

Everything was so much smaller than I expected >O<" The ink especially, because they looked like they were bigger in the pictures. The nibs are so shiny and small and when I tried putting one into the penholder I heard a snapping noise and saw that the tip split in two and got scared and felt stupid that I broke my first nib already, but then I realized that all the nibs were like that and that that's how you get the variations in the lines... orz" (if I'm wrong, correct me.)

The G pen nibs came in a cute plastic box and the maru pen nibs came in a set of 2 in a small plastic bag.

Here's a size comparison of the nibs to a dime.

I also read a few reviews and tips and boiled some tea and dipped the G nib into it to remove the coating.

As for ink, I went with Deleter Black 3 because it was waterproof and a bit cheaper than the rest (but just a little bit).

I'm really excited to try them out! And really needa practice with using nibs.
