Hi

Alright, here goes. It feels like making my first post on Tumblr is not unlike screaming into the void. I guess I am not really looking for my posts to get any traction, but it would be fun to find friends at some point.

My main objective is to get back into creative writing. I used to write loads of fanfiction once upon a time, and although looking back at these works now makes me cringe (due to their low quality, in part, but also because they contain so much misogyny and are rife with immature world views), it also makes me long for a time where I truly felt like I had something to share with the world.

I'm not really sure that anything I produce now, in 2024, is going to necessarily be better than what I wrote as a teenager. I feel like I am less creative, like my inner world is just so grey and dull. Somehow, my grasp of the English language has gotten worse, not better. However, I feel like the only way to improve on these things is to spend time on them (duh). So even if I am not entirely (or not even remotely) satisfied with the things I create now, I think it is better that I at least create something.

So, here goes nothing.
