whatever. go my wip.
“Come on, go faster--”
“Faster? You see the size of the crack I have to squeeze through?!”
“That’s what you get for wanting to go first! Seriously, Davey, you’re being such a baby about this…”
Kento laughed to himself under his breath, as he hiked the equipment bag over his shoulder as he lingered near the mouth of the cave. His shoulder rested against the slightly damp stone as he cupped his hand around his cigarette, fumbling only for a moment to light it before he pulled back and exhaled a lazy stream of smoke. “Don’t get stuck…” He called back to the younger adults attempting to sidle through an opening at the back of the shallow cave. “If that happens, we’ll leave you for dead.”
“Fuck off--” Davis’ voice snapped back, sounding strained like he was gritting his teeth again. “This stupid camera bag-- Ah, no, I don’t wanna hear a single ‘I told you so’!’ He adds, pitching up his voice to mock the girl hovering near him.
“Oh, shut up! Just stop stalling, or move aside!” Esme demanded, stomping her foot three times in rapid succession. Kento could tell she was still in a grumpy mood from their early morning, and he glanced back at where his little sister was impatiently fussing over Davis, who had almost half his body squeezed into the crevasse. “Davey, give the camera here--” She grumbled, reaching out and roughly grabbing Davis; the college-aged young man squawked defiantly, his taller form leaning back as she tried to wrestle him for the bag slung across his front.
“Don’t bully him, Durand.”
Kento startled slightly as the final member of their party made his presence known, low voice rasping monotonously. Kento relaxed his shoulders when he saw the leisurely way Buck was making his way into the cave, jumping effortlessly down the several feet that had taken the less experienced two nearly twenty minutes to scale. Buck landed with a grunt, adjusting his canvas jacket as he stood back up to his full height.
“There you are, bro-- tell her to stop rushing me!” Davis called out, a palm pressing against Esme’s face to keep her away and muffling her giggles. “It’s like she wants us to get dogshit footage or something.” He added under his breath before laughing as Esme banged her fist lightly against his shoulder some more.
Buck ignored his brother and turned to Kento. He yanked his baseball cap from his back pocket and shoved in low onto his head, nearly shielding his eyes. He grabbed the bag still on Kento’s shoulders, rummaging around for a bottle of water.
“Were we followed?” Kento asked casually around the cigarette between his teeth.
“...” Buck didn’t answer at first, opting instead to take a slow drink. His movements were too practiced; Kento watched the way his fingers twitched around the metal of the bottle, slipping for a moment on the lid, before he lifted the bottle carefully to his mouth. “...Just a couple of punks. Scared ‘em off.” He mumbled around the mouth of the bottle, his pale eyes finally meeting Kento’s gaze. He looked tired but not troubled.
Kento exhaled another plume of smoke just as slowly. “Right. Nothing we need to worry about then.”
Buck looked back at the younger adults, who seemed to be arguing over who broke the strap of the camera bag in frantic harsh whispers, neither one of them wedged into the wall in the face of this new argument. “...That’s right. Nothin’ to worry about.” Buck conceded.
“...Right.” Kento said, nodding his head, before looking up at the mouth of the cave. Pale watery sunlight was beaming down from nearly twenty feet up, making the damp cave surprisingly mossy and alive. Gnats swarmed in the air above them, reminding Kento of the swarms of small fish that his and Esme’s dad would be struggling to catch right about now. He shook his hair, tapping off the ash from the cigarette. “Reach into the back left of the bag. There’s some breakfast there, if you need some fuel.” Buck paused, before nodding and plucking out a small bag; as he began to snack, Kento pushed off the wall, and walked over to the two squabbling others.
“All right, you two, pack it up.” He drawled, running a hand through his dark hair. Esme huffed and turned her nose up at Davis, flouncing over to her brother's side with a prepared pout. Her auburn hair glittered in the weak dawn, and her green eyes flashed up at Kento as she began to complain about Davis taking point on this expedition for the fifth time since this morning.
“He’s too stubborn! Not to mention stupid, and arrogant!” She complained, cheeks flushed red with her frustration. “I told him the entire hike out to this stupid cave that he was too big to be the lead today! But nooo, don’t listen to Esme! Just because I’m a girl--”
“Hey! Not cool, don’t play that card, you bitch!”
“Oh, so now I’m a bitch?! Ken, do you hear him?! Kick his ass!”
“Yeah right, I could take Kento in a fight!” Davis bluffed, jutting his chin out sharply at the Durand siblings. All three of the others snorted in unison, and Davis turned his eyes onto Buck, a look of deep betrayal on his face. “Not cool, bro. What happened to Wynter Loyalty?”
“Doesn’t apply to dumbass statements like that, bro.” Buck mumbled, tilting his head and spitting a fruit seed out into the dirt. “Kento washes you in hand to hand combat.” He added, his voice quiet and distant as he began to examine the crack. Esme nodded in satisfaction, looking smugly as Davis. The younger man scowled at her, sweeping his dyed-blond hair from his eyes. “Whatever.” He grumbled, folding his arms.
Kento didn’t even bother hiding his eye roll, practically feeling his sister’s resolve crumbling without even looking at her; those two had been friends since childhood, and were inseparable. He nudged her subtly with his elbow as he pulled his cig from his mouth, stomping the stub out.
She shot him a look, before dramatically sighing and walking over to Davis, who stubbornly turned from her. “Oh, don’t be like that, Wynter.” She groaned, draping himself over his side. “Come on, Buck, let me try it.” She added to the older blond, purposefully going limp so Davis had to quickly turn to her and catch her. “I can totally fit in there, especially if I don’t take the camera.” She added pointedly, looking at Davis.
Buck ignored her, peering deep into the dark. Kento shook his head with a sigh. “Nah, even if you do make it in there, Es, we can see that even Davey’s scrawny ass can squeeze in. Buck and I definitely won’t.” He absently rubbed the scar on the side of his nose as he thought, the raised tissue a familiar sensation. “But…man, Es, you’re pretty tiny. I can't imagine this is actually the entrance, nobody would be able to even get in.”
Davis and Esme blinked, seemingly not having made the realization before he pointed it out. They glanced at each other, before back at the crack Buck was now slowly reaching into with short exploratory movements. “Aw, whaaat…” Esme groaned, slumping against Davis tiredly. “No way, no way, no freaking waaay…”
“But… this is the coordinates. We triple checked.” Dave said, furrowing his brows in confusion. One of his arms wrapped around Esme to keep the girl up on her feet.
“We got up sooo early this morning, for a bust? Ughhh…” She whined, tugging at her braids as she bemoaned their bad luck.
“Esme.” Buck suddenly spoke, and she straightened up with a grumble.
“What, I’m not allowed to complain now? We got totally scammed!” She glared at the older Wynter.
Buck gestured for her to come over. “No, that’s not what. C’mere.” Esme tilted her head, glancing at Davis. He squeezed her hand and let her go, and she trotted over to their defacto leader.
“Sup?”
“You have those glowsticks?”
Esme glanced at the void of the crack, before nodding. She pulled her little back from behind her and quickly pulled out a bundle of glowsticks. “Here. But they won’t provide a ton of light…” She said, cracking one between her fingers. The green glow it gave off was barely enough to glance off the damp walls.
Buck didn’t bother answering. He took the stick and threw it like a dart into the crevasse. All three others blinked with surprise when it glanced off something only a foot or so into that seemingly endless void. “So there is a door here.” He said, getting to his feet from his kneeling position. “It’s just been covered up, somehow.”

For those close to him, Jinwoo suddenly becoming unrecognizably tall, dark, handsome, and FLUSH with cash from a job he is famously the Worst In The Entire World at, should all seem very suspicious.
But I am dedicated to the vision that there is a completely logical and sensible explanation to all this if you simply assume Jinwoo started an OnlyFans.

Okay okay… first time posting this ship and I hope you guys like them!! 💕 Finally sharing a female f/o too, it was about time!!! Raaaaa! I’m absolutely in love with my short, hardworking, prickly but sweet mage. The funny part is, she’s actually an inch taller than my self-insert, but we’re still just two little shorties in love. (I’m 5’2” and she’s 5’3”.)
I’ve loved Lysithea from Fire Emblem for about four years now, and after replaying the game recently, I fell for her all over again. I mean, what’s not to adore? She’s the perfect woman, and I just want to make her happy. :’}💕
OH also! I only ship with post timeskip Lysithea just because she’s around my age! Just wanted to let you guys know! 🫶🏻
