Eli and Kage have arguments to the point that they are screaming their respective languages

Kage’s Shadow Tounge and Eli’s Spanish (Shout out that one headcanon of Eli being Mexican its adorable) are literally clashing and it sounds completely incomprehensible to the rest of the gang.

The only ones that can understand what they are saying is Junjie and Tad. Junjie can understand what Kage is saying in shadow tongue while Tad in Eli’s side since he took Spanish class.

Junjie is appalled of Kage’s vulgar use of shadow tounge while Tad is losing his shit of how fucking wild is for Eli to be cursing like that.

Kord, Pronto and Trixie asked them if what are those two saying. Tad would gladly say only to have his mouth covered by Junjie.

It’s unknown that if Eli and Kage can understand eachother in their origin languages. Until they start slamming eachother, giving the idea that yeah they understand.

Chat help I accidentally gave Eli a shadow clan great grandmother (who’s still alive and is related to his mom’s side rather than the Shane’s). Her name is Asa and I fucking love her.

May or may not be the origin while Eli gets his more reckless traits cause damn that sass is fucking hereditary 

She’s still alive and kicking, while retired of her old age she’s still just as vicious and sassy as ever. She’s also Shanai’s wife cause fuck yeah old woman Yuri 💥

Important thing to note Eli and Kage are NOT related to Shanai. She’s still considered family since she’s Asa’s wife.

A highly respected elder in the shadow clan that was one of the few that knew the truth of Kage’s parentage and treated him well. At times even approaching Will in secret asking how her other great grandson is doing up on the surfice

Also she’s one of the very few people in the world that can instill fear into Will Shane and Jimmo Shane.

Taught Kage how to adapt in many situations, but get into arguments. She loves her great grandson dearly but had to be a bit strict to teach him how to survive and fight. Gave him one of her Slugs to guide and to protect him.

After the reveal and maybe a shadow clan village arc make a future post about it.

Asa is one of Eli’s (Plus Kage’s) most important Shadow clan supporters.

She’s incredibly proud of her great grandsons for being fine protectors. She adores and will brag about it to the other elders when given the chance. Those boys EARNED their titles as protectors. Definitely becomes someone that Eli approaches for advice even if she can be a bit too crass and vague about it.

I know in Shadowed Lights a Tad redemption arc is definitely on the menu. I love that brat with all my heart.

That little fucker is 13 and genuinely has no fucking clue what he’s doing. A really misguided child having no idea the absolute horrors that his Bio Father has done. All he needs is to snap out of that stubbornness to grow as a proper individual. So what else it is for him to guides in the right path.

Eli is NOT gonna fuck this up like what happened to twist. He WILL help Tad even if it kills him-unfortunately Tad is a little shit that needs to be disciplined but don’t worry Kage’s gonna keep that brat in check.

Cause the idea of Tad having two older fucked up cat brothers (At that point Eli has already unlocked his secondary form) is too fucking cute.

Also giving Eli a Slugterran Brother (Biological) and little Surface Brother (adopted). Would play a major role in his development, allowing himself to connect more of his Origins and giving Kage more insight of the surface.

Tad’s maybe a sarcastic smart ass brat but deep down he’s genuinely protective and cares about his found family very much.

Also Kage tragically learning brain rot slang from Tad, because he convinced him that it’s how the surface dwellers spoke these days is so fucking funny

Low I am calling the Eli’s Shadow Clan twin (Kage) brother au “Shadowed Lights”

It may be sort of a au/rewrite idea of not only expanding the lore Slugterra but also give the shadow clan a slight development on their culture and such.

It’s great honestly, I can definitely see that shadow clanners having different pitches and sounds in their language that sound absolutely sounds Eldrich and terrifying because of their language. However if you understand it, it’s a completely different story. It’s beautiful and complex, having their own take of it.

What would a singing Shadow Clan member sound like?

Would it sound good or bad?

Perhaps it sounds bad for humans, trolls, molenoids, and so on, but to Bright Clan members, it would probably sound good and beautiful.

I’m glad that u responded I got worried for a moment but yes I love giving Eli a half creature sibling cause it opens so many possibilities of interactions and changes!!

Especially Eli, I love making him none human like gives him that extra spice ya know! It forces him to look back on his past and questions his own identity as not just as a Shane but WHO he is as a person.

Throwing a massive wrench into what he knew about himself, now desiring to connect more of his slugterran routes (especially his Shadow clan side) so he can be closer to his twin. Maybe becoming more sympathetic towards the shadow clan, trying to understand why he’s pure human (Spoilers he’s a late bloomer) while Kage is more Creature.

Eli has subconsciously blocked that side of his, yes he’s embracing his Shane/slugterran life but there’s a part of him that feels wild and a hidden connection that he doesn’t understand it. He’s a brilliant light that overpowers any darkness that comes across. But also becoming blinded of what is in front of him.

Kage grappling of trying to understand his half human nature. A side that he has to reject in order to reach the expectations of his clan but feeling that he’s not enough. He’s related of the races that abuse the slugs, who forced the clan to act aggressively to survive the changing times. Why does he feel sympathetic towards these beings? Are his people any different than those that they fought? The shadow of doubt is an important thing yet it makes you sight of what you’re actually purpose is.

Two Brothers, growing up as outcasts in two different worlds. Suppressing parts of themselves in order to survive. But once reunited they learn that they aren’t alone anymore…

Can you imagine the chaos that it brings of Will Shane having a half shadow clan son? Especially one that’s twins with a pure human one? Like it brings so many questions and how Eli have to comes to terms with it? Combined that he was BORN in Slugterra and was sent to the surface while his own sibling is left behind? Under the pressures of his clan.

Yet Kage struggles with his own identity the lines of being a shadow clan and a Shane. He’s given the responsibility to help his brother and friends yet he doesn’t know shit. But dammit despite the complications they are family no matter what. They buttheads because of their way of thinking, Eli is idealistic and heroic while Kage is pragmatic and cautious. But also being raised in different cultures can affect their perspective

Kage becomes one of the folks that Eli feels safe enough to vent and vice versa cause both of them are in this together. Lifting the ginormous weight of a legacy of the Shane’s easier with their friends.

I been thinking of that uncle Blight Au, Eli having a literal serial killer of an Uncle and a Cryptid is genuinely a recipe for a chaotic dramatic shitshow. Two relatives that are vicious yet protective of him.

Blite and Kage they get along well…they’re just quiet and distant. Taking time to slowly warm up but over time they have similar interests and definitely hunt together (Wrenched Feral beasts that they are 💖)

However It haunts Eli a little, that he and Kage might end up as their Uncle and father at one point. Making him determined to ensure that they’ll never have to go through this. Even if the they start fighting and arguing.

Honestly this kid been through so much bullshit that, it’s a Miracle that he didn’t cracked under that pressure.

I mean, seriously, this kid spends an entire year, just fighting in Slugterra, he's been betrayed on several occasions, like he straight up let's Twist and Tad in his home, calls them his friends and they stab him in the back.

Is either being compared to his dad, or blamed for things his dad did.

Is probably dealing with the dilemma that his father is a murderer, as we still don't know what exactly happened to Tom Por or if Will Shane actually killed him.

Saw his dad tackle Blakk and the Goon into that Terra portal thing, after having him back for probably less than an hour.

Burpy, his best friend, almost died.

Was under the Goons influence and hurt in friends, probably causing some self-loathing.

As I mentioned before, Kage is the shadow/assasin of the Shane gang. But also can pull off infiltration missions from time to time really handy when you’re dumbass twin is literally throwing himself in dangerous situations all the time!

And fun fact! The top of his tail, can close itself up resembling a flower bud.
