You know we only ever really "learn" how to bathe in our youth as it is taught to us by our parents and from then on most people kinda just bathe the same way right. And like barring actively deciding to do it the only way most people change their bathing habits is if they bathe with a loved one and get convinced to do somethi g different in the bath bc its cleaner/faster/whatever bc of them. went to an elementaryschool musical production and they started the show with the director saying: "Now there's some very small viewers here today, so just so you know. There will be a scary character later in the show. This is her," and a girl in a kinda scary ghost outfit did a creepy walk across the stage, the stood up straight and did a cheery wave, "but remember, it's just Nina. She's pretending to be scary."

Aaaand i would very much like for horror movies to have that as a little bonus feature you can chose. Let me start a movie with Guillermo del Toro showing me a scary ghost that might jump at me, but don't worry, thats just Doug!

Happy Pride Month everyone! Remember 4 months ago when the CEO of this platform harassed and chased a trans woman off this website just for posting her transition timeline, then chased her to other social media platforms to continue harassing her, and threatened to call the FBI if she continued disputing the multiple dubious terminations of her blogs that did not violate tumblr's terms of service in any way? And despite tumblr staff insisting that the CEO was acting against their interests, the broad transmisogyny evident in the site's culture and moderation policy has still not been adequately addressed?

sometimes medical professionals say things that aren't even like, offensive, they're just astounding 2 me

a pharmacist was just giving me two vaccines & offered to do one in each arm and i said "well i'm a side-sleeper so i prefer one very tender arm instead of two sort of sore arms, so i can still sleep on one side."

and she looked at me like i said something super weird and she said "vaccines shouldn't make your arm sore."

??? ? ???? i thought she was joking but she wasn't. i'm trying to understand what reality this woman could have possibly just stepped out of to be a medical professional who administers vaccines and who thinks tenderness is a strange and unheard of side effect
