In Vash’s hand is a record of Wolfwood’s life. Part prayer book, part recipe book, it measures his time on this planet in meals and pleas to an absent God.

He tries not to feel like it’s his actual life – his beating, bleeding heart – that Vash holds, but it’s hard when Vash holds it with such reverence and care.

Wolfwood shares a meal with Vash, and in the process, shares a little of himself.
