in the age of remote work we should all be visiting friends like they did in jane austen times. is it raining? stay overnight, you'll catch a chill. coming for a visit? why not stay for a couple months, until the roads...get better?
#lmao at the last one#i kinda miss the slower passing of the time#especially when traveling#i remember as a kid traveling with a horse#we didn't have fancy wagons or coaches#it didn't have a roof#at best it had sides but most of the time you would sit#with your legs dangling off#and your guardians would frequently remind you to be careful#and not fall out under the wheels#we would stop when the horse was thirsty#and there was always time to stop for wild berries#or some beautiful flowers#my favorite part about traveling now#is that when i walk around by myself#i can stop whenever i want#i took a walk in copenhagen a few days ago#and i just stopped wherever and whenever i wanted#got myself some coffee#wandered around#anyway this is not what the post was about lol
