Hiatus Notice

Pls don’t feel like I hate you, I just dunno what to say without talking about dgm, and since my muses have been absent I’ve had nothing dgm related to say. I just really suck at keeping in contact.

   “I don’t know yet.” That was half a lie because the consideration of killing him was there. He despised the man. He was partly the reason he hated humanity. “I ran away when I was eight. My biological mother died when I was two. She took her own life. Alec blamed me for that.” Well, the rest Tyki could guess himself. “ I didn’t tell Sheryl about it. He doesn’t even know my human name, so I don’t think he had a chance to search for the man, let alone eliminate his existence.” If that was going to happen, Wisely wanted to do it himself. 

   “Will you come with me?” He gave him one second before he started to walk to the doors of the bar. He was confident Tyki would follow him either way. Opening the door, it made a cracking noise, as if it hadn’t been oiled or replaced for decades. The lighting inside was bad and the room was rather small for a bar. Once he confirmed there were no other customers he decided to take a look behind the counter where a man with dark blond hair and beard stood. He gave them one glance before disappearing and reappearing through a door in the back. Wisely didn’t let anything on yet, taking a place in a corner and turning his gaze to Tyki to wait for him to sit with him. 

The explanation does more than simply irritate Tyki. Wisely’s insinuation that Alec took his anger out on him is enough to make Tyki’s blood boil. If this man is in the bar, Tyki will be sure to keep him away from Wisely. They can talk, if that’s what Wisely wants, but he will not let the man lay a hand on his nephew.

Wisely asks if he’ll come, then walks in without an answer. Either he doesn’t care, or he’s confident Tyki will follow. If it’s the latter, he is correct. Tyki walks in behind him, following his lead to simply sit down at the table with Wisely. He’s sure to sit so he can see the man at the bar, but without blocking Wisely’s view. After all, the boy knows better than he does what to look for.

“What now?”

   “Of course I do.” The ruffles are very much appreciated. 

He drops his arm to wrap around Wisely's shoulders. "C'mon kiddo, let's do something fun."

Tyki chuckles, ruffling Wisely’s hair. “You always need affection.”

“Eh? Wisely no. Don’t kiss the traitor. Didn’t he kill us all before?”

noahwisely:

   “I see,” he replied, his voice soft. It did sound very suspicious and considering it was Sheryl he wouldn’t be surprised either if he did end up killing their father. 

  “Did I ever tell you my human name? I used to call myself Aaron Griffiths. My biological father is called Alec Griffiths.” Wisely pointed at the bar. “That run down bar is the one he owns. It should be open now, so he’s most likely there.” He couldn’t confirm it yet because he couldn’t access his Demon Eye in his human form. 

He listens as Wisely speaks. It’s not often that the boy tells about his past. In fact, the boy has never talked about his past. As far as Tyki knew he had lived his whole life on the streets. As it turns out, it doesn’t seem that different from his own life... obvious status differences aside. A shitty excuse of a father, and eventually running away to live on the streets.

When Wisely stops speaking Tyki responds, “No, you hadn’t told me that.” He pauses for a moment, glancing at the bar for a second, then returning his gaze to Wisely. “What are you planning to do if he is there?” he asks. There’s a slight trepidation in the question, due purely to being unsure of if this Alec Griffiths is there. It’s likely been years since Wisely left him so there’s no telling what could have happened, particularly after Sheryl took in Wisely. Tyki already suspects his brother may have killed their father, it wouldn’t be unreasonable to think he’d have killed Wisely’s as well if the man deserved it.

   “But Sheryl doesn’t have to know, does he?” Wisely asked quietly. Stopped in his tracks, he turned around. “Hey, Tyki? I stayed away from both your childhoods, the memories of them I mean. But what happened to your human parents?”

Perhaps he could explain what he wanted that way. Because honestly? Wisely wasn’t even sure whether what he wanted to do to his own human father was even normal for a Noah. 

He chuckles quietly at the comment, but the smile it came with quickly falls away when Wisely asks about his childhood. About his parents. That is a topic he doesn’t like to touch, but he’ll answer the question regardless. Wisely is family, so it’s not like it would hurt for the boy to know.

“They both died. Mother was ill for as long as I could remember, much like Tricia is. Then after she died, I guess father overworked himself... I don’t really know, given I ran away after mother died.” He won’t say that the suspicion of Sheryl killing their father has crossed his mind. His brother likely would blame his father for pushing Tyki away, but he’s not sure how far Sheryl would go with that anger.
