Honestly, I feel like the trip was so cursed, especially in the beginning LMAOOO;;; I can't believe I bought the wrong flight dates and I didn't realize until the night before when I was trying to check in and was getting an error. And even though my bundle had rebookable tickets for cheap/free (?), I missed the cut off time cause it was so last minute that I had to spend an extra $400 to cover the new ticket costs 💀 I was actually hella pissed off at myself cause of that, but oh well.....

To make things worse, when I got to the airport, I didn't know Flair Airlines make you size your baggage and personal item. My big ass backpack was too big for a personal item and I was forced to make it my carry on, and then check in my original carry on suitcase, which costed me ANOTHER additional $100 ish. PAIN.

My tablemate and I went straight to the con for early set up, and then I found out the half layout I had for my pipes did not work out the way I wanted to, and I was hella worried I wasn't able to properly display it, but luckily, my big brain was able to figure it out and thank god it worked out in the end.

We were planning on going to the West Edmonton Mall, but ended up against it since we were pretty tired and it was a 45 min transit ride. The first night's dinner was A&W, which was great, I didn't mind LOL. We also had trouble locking our door to the airbnb cause we were dumb I guess or it just didn't work when we first tried it but thankfully it worked out in the end phew.

I won't go tooooo into detail about the con, but the con was pretty average for me for a 3 day con! The last day was hella slow though, slowest it's ever been for a 3 day con;;; But then again I didn't pack a lot of stuff cause of baggage weight limit restrictions. I did sell out of all the art books that i brought with me, including the display!!! wahooo!! a whopping 6!!! THAT'S CRAZY, PEOPLE WANT MY ARTBOOK???? Oh shit, speaking of I gotta release the digital version soon. I really liked that the con really took care of the artists and they had helpers always checking in on us with water and food!! Also wow the catering service??? Never experienced that before at a con, anirevo step up ur artist hospitality game come on lol I also officially ran out of business cards after a year and a half now haha

I also got to meet a friend irl!!! AND managed to squeeze lil dinner with her before I had to book it to the airport to leave. Is it bad that I'm falling a little too hard head over heels for her ahahahahahahahahahahaha she's very pretty and funny ok u cannot blame me, you would too.... HEHEHEHE ANYWAY I had a great time hanging out with her!!!!!! I also do want to go back to Edmonton next time to explore a little more, since I was literally at the con from morning to night, and we only had dinner in the nearby area before we headed home each night.

We were worried about being late to our flight, but we tested out airport theory and we made it right on time, with some spare time due to delays as well lol. Aaaaand then I got back home at around 11pm. Tired as shiiiiit and stinky and sweaty.

Will I go back to Animethon again?????? Unsure..... Would be nice to! Since it's technically relatively close to me flight-wise. I've been talked into trying out Otakuthon in Montreal though 👀 We'll see!

Anyway, great trip overall aside from the luggage and flight mishaps!

Wahooo!! Anirevo 2025 is over so I'ma do a quick recap, but i'll be just me rambling here we go

Day 1 was a hit, all thanks to my uma musume charms, they literally sold like hot cakes and I was pretty much almost sold out by day 1, agnes tachyon pretty much sold out, and the remaining other 3 sold out the next day. I only ordered 20, but I regret not ordering more, but tbf i wanted to err on the side of caution cause the last time i ordered 50 for some charms, i barely was able to sell any of them LOL. I guess the timing for umas was just too good. I don't think I'd be able to reach this speed of selling out ever again with any other new thing I make.

Day 2 was a little slower than the 1st, simply cause I sold out of my umas hahahah. I also sold out of my deskmats this day!!! (i brought one last one the next day and sold that one too though) I'm OFFICIALLY sold out of my deskmats, and it only took 2 years LOL. I really don't know if I want to make deskmats ever again... I want to... but they're just so heavy and clunky and I'm not sure what kind of design I would want to do next;;;;; I was wondering if I should do an uma one but idkkkkk.

Day 3 was a lot slower than the other two days, but that's pretty typical. Nothing too note-worthy to note about this day tbh.

Overall it was a great experience!! I earned the most ever in my tabling history so that was very nice!! The umas truly carried me...... Right place at the right time. There also weren't _that_ many people selling uma stuff here either, definitely probably only a handful of people, so that played into my advantage as well. ALSO!! ANOTHER BIG THING!!! I sold about 10 copies of my artbook holy shit!!!!!!! It did much better than I expected and I'm so happy aaaahhhhh SO HAPPY. I also met a lot of old and new friends and did a lot of merch trades, which makes my heart very warm HEHE <333 It makes me remember how nervous I always was when I first went around wanting to do trades, and too nervous to even ask, AND NOW LOOK AT ME!!!!! I HAVE FRIENDS!!!!!! Anywho, had a great time this year and honestly the future of me tabling is still in the dark, as I keep wanting to retire, but at the same time I still want to do it..... It's tough making merch because since I don't table often, the things I make might be outdated by the time I get to sell it :\ So yeah, not really sure how to combat that buuuut.
