What you're failing to consider Batler is that if someone is impersonating BEATRICE, it makes more sense for a witch to attack someone on midnight, closest to the witche's hour. Thus it would make more sense for an impersonator to do the same.

Now the obvious answer is WITCHCRAFT but from the info they have. The most clear candidate is Kinzo. Who has stated multiple times to hate his kids. even if kinzo dosen't have the strenght to do it, he can just command one of the servants to do it for him. From there you just need to find which of the servants did it.

I have no funny commentary for this scene. instead i shall comment that it was a pretty effective use of dialogue in substitute of actual gore. I although i usually prefer that a store actually tries to show me the scary parts, even if it fails. On the assumption the main artist or original artist weren't skilled with drawing gore (a fair assumption i think, it takes some specialty to do that) I think this was a pretty good workaround AND good use of resources. Instead of having to draw either one pile of bodies or having 3 different drawings of each "face" they instead opted for drawing of the storehouse, which can be reused latter!

Im assuming the plot will eventually become "The Ushiromiya's burn BEATRICE on the stake"

I know the game wants me to be disgusted at their greed and disrespect for their family patriarch ( or at least that's the impression i have so far) Eva may be the most personally cruel of the trio but has the most sympathetic reason to want money, to help her husband keep the company HE made. Rudolph isn't particularly cruel but he just fucked around and got in trouble.

Rosa doesn't seem interested in getting a particularly big share, just wants to make sure the other siblings don't push her out of getting one at all.

Meanwhile kraus has been essentially and repeatedly been gambling with millions, with said gambles failing.

The original deal was practically ideal in all honesty, with all the siblings getting a share to fix their problems while Krauss still gets the majority of the inheritance.
