People will tell you all sorts of different things that they believed to be the hardest thing about medical school, this varies from seeing your first dead body, to learning the krebs cycle (and forgetting it again and again) to being stuck in a stairwell because you don't have a working access card to get through the door. Going by how disengaged some of my cohort are I hazard a guess that for some people it was the realisation they don't actually want to be in medical school. Not me though, this is exactly where I want to be. The good, the bad and the absurd. Alike many others I've read the likes of This is going to hurt and other books authored by those who've travelled this path before me. I suppose this is my that. I'm not sure where this will go but I guess we'll find out.
