I like certain crackships too but that wasn’t really the point was it? I was addressing someone who tried to tear down Feyre and Elain’s character by saying they’re too male centered as a way to explain why Nesta’s fans find enjoyment in throwing her at every man who doesn’t want her in this series.

Whether or not someone likes crackships wasn’t really the topic of discussion. And Nesta’s personality definitely does need to be altered to ship her with a man who tried to literally buy her and asked her brother in law to sell her to him. You think Nesta in canon would end up with a man who treated her like she was less than a person and more like an object to be sold to the highest bidder?

And given that you’re a Tamlin and Elain shipper please don’t interact with me again.

Not exactly true. To ship Nesta with all these characters her fans end up changing everything about her to fit which male they want her to cater to. Saying it’s easier to ship her with everyone because she has a “consistently written character” and then taking that character and reworking everything about it to fit whichever ship you want her to be in, is very very silly.

For example, her relationship with Eris. Nothing about that ship fits who Nesta is in canon or her “consistent writing”. To make that ship work you have to undo all the growth she worked her ass off to achieve in Acosf and push her back into the box her mother groomed her to fit in. To ship Nesta with Eris is to ignore who she actually is and instead focus on who her mother forced her to become. That has nothing to do with her canon writing.

A lot of toxic Nesta fans are completely blind about her character.

-I imagine her as being part Turkish and part Irish; I imagine the night court as the Ottoman empire, hence the Turkiye shirt, Lokum, and Ottoman inspired shield and slippers

-The pennant is the Sapphic flag! Taking "I prefer females" at face value, it seems like Mor is homoromantic/bisexual, but as a bi woman myself I have a feeling that was just Sarah's way of euphemising her coming out or making it old timey (the words Lesbian/Bi/Gay don't exist in Prythian so it's not like she could just say that lol). Until we get more info idk exactly what she was intended to be, so for now I'm just calling her sapphic :)

White Acotar fans think the solution to Illyrians rebelling is for Rhys to kill all of them and basically commit mass murder and torture against his own people (who are already oppressed). It says a lot about how they view people of color that they think Rhys not murdering them when they act out of turn is some character flaw on his part.

With the Court of Nightmares it’s “They can’t all be bad, they just exist under a broken system and need to be shown the right way”. But with the Illyrians it’s “Rhys just needs to show his aggression and kill the ones who disagree with him or else they won’t ever respect him as a ruler”.

The beauty of Feyre?

She loves unconditionally. Truly and absolutely unconditionally.

Feyre with Rhys: Loves him with all his past, understands him and makes sure he’s loved when he drops his several masks in front of her.

Feyre with Nesta: Loves her sister, is there for her sister even knowing that her sister apparently despised her. She cares for her well-being, she defends her at every turn.

Feyre with Elain: Makes sure that Elain is happy and has the time and space to do as she loves. She knew that when Elain finally came out of her stupor and finally started being herself (baking cookies with Nuala) she had to give her time. She had to give her sister her own time and made sure that when Elain was finally ready to approach her, she would be welcoming.

Feyre with Cassian: She truly loves and adores him. She opens up to him and he opens up to her. She knows that physical touch is something he loves, so she makes sure she bumps his wing, holds on tight when he gives her bear hugs (and when she gives them back).

Feyre with Mor: loves and encourages Mor to be herself. Even when Mor fights with her mate or sister, she still shows compassion and understanding to Mor.

Feyre with Az: Understands his darkness and quietness, his very worldly thoughts (when he first flew her, when he taught her to fly, when they went to save her sister together). Listens to him, respects him. She understands his humour and shows her concern for him every time he sets out to do something dangerous.

Feyre with Amren: Shows her love for amren the only way she knows Amren will understand and accept it. Respect (and blood of course). She listens to her counsel, respects her opinion and laughs herself hoarse with Amren when they almost drown to their deaths.

Feyre is a BEAUTIFUL, beautiful character. She loves wildly and wholly and she deserves the absolute world (which rhys is obviously set on giving her)

Did you see this art? This is so disgusting. And the poster is trying to act like they aren't anti Feyssnd when THIS is exactly what the antis say...

Not trying to hate on this artist but it’s interesting how they said they drew this art because they were tired of the inaccurate depictions of UTM Feyre but…their art also isn’t accurate. I understand wanting to show “realism” in your art and not wanting to sugarcoat any of the trauma these characters has gone through but this person’s depiction of UTM is as false as the other art they were trying to call out.

Also you can’t put out art hinting at Feyre being raped by Rhys (which isn’t canon), say that your art is meant to depict what actually happened in canon, put it in Feysand’s tags, and then act shocked when their fans say “hey you’re wrong about this”.

Again not trying to attack anyone but if you’re saying that you want to make a point by showing how UTM was truly for Feyre then let’s stick to canon.

When fans of Nesta, specifically the ones who heavily relate to her, lash out at you simply for stating an opposing opinion just remember that they’re individuals who choose to go on defense and be aggressive when people don’t agree with everything they say just like Nesta does. They’re dealing with their own internal issues and instead of finding healthy ways to cope they choose to be angry and attack those who don’t fit into their little box.

When they say they relate to Nesta they really mean that and unfortunately for them, that also means they relate to her inability to communicate with others and have mature conversations.

Them attacking you is not a personal flaw on your part and it doesn’t mean what you said is incorrect. It just means that they’re emotionally stunted and have a lot of growing to do.
