realising now that if it wasn’t for Sister Rosetta Tharpe, pretty much all of my favourite rock (even metal) bands/musicians wouldn’t be as lively and famous as they are. Muse, Queens of the Stone Age, Led Zeppelin etc. if its not her direct influence, it’ll be her influence on whoever inspired and motivated people like Matt Bellamy or Nick Valensi to pick up a guitar and that blows my fucking mind
