Now, for his vanity area.

The janky area next to his stereo setup is pretty straightforward.

There's an old wooden crate as a base. You can find one almost anywhere (even on the side of the road)

Now, on top of that is an old black milk crate. You can buy one off of Amazon

The box on top of this was a little harder to find. But, I've found it. It's a 70s Savoy 8-Track storage case.

And finally, his mirror. Any skinny black vertical mirror will do, but there's one from Amazon

(This is engraved with a pattern, but if you wanna be super accurate and keep your room ultra dim like his you won't really notice it)

Okay, so the stereo he uses is a Panasonic SG-V05 cassete and record player combo. These are pretty fancy and top of the line for Panasonic, so they're aren't cheap, and they're somewhat obscure.

**Note, there is a similar model called the SG-V55, but it doesn't have the sunken record player shroud/cover like the V05**

Now, his speakers are a little tougher, but I've seen some similar ones for sale, and they were WAY older than the stereo unit itself (think pre 1969 vs. Mid 80s) But, if you want a similar look, I recommend similar woodgrain themed large speakers like these - the panasonic SB-205

These are compatible with the stereos specs and fit with their corresponding output/input audio jacks

Now, his cassette tape drawer is a little generic, but I recommend going on ebay and looking up "Vintage 42 cassette tape storage drawer" and finding one with the metal accents on the bottom.

His headphones are also pretty generic, so get creative with them! Any bulky vintage stereo headphone set will do.

And to top it all off, the table that this is all on top of. It looks like a faux woodgrain banquet-esque fold out table. Probably around 5"-6"ft long. These aren't cheap but you could get lucky and thrift one for cheaper.

oh, wow, i’m so glad my first post on billy’s vanity was so helpful! here’s a post on the other stuff in his room! i know a lot of this stuff doesn’t necessarily mean anything—some is here to add to character, some will be put in just because it’s era appropriate or maybe even as an in joke—but its presence does mean we can extrapolate what we’d like from it.
