It's time to move on to the next stage, our Mod/Helper Applications are now officially open, you can find the form linked here.

"A Slightly More Complete Document" about the event is available for viewing as well, explaining more about the mechanics, pillars and general timeline of the event, as well as the positions we are looking to fill in this application period.

Hey, I’d really love to be involved in organisational and behind-the-scenes stuff for this, it sounds like such a cool idea, I have a couple questions about it? If we were to put a way of contacting in the interest form, what would we be contacted about at this point in time? And would it be possible to be both an organiser or mod or something and to participate? Thanks, can’t wait to see what comes of this event!!

First of all, thank you very much for wanting to support the project, it’s truly, genuinely appreciated.

If you wished to help at this stage, you’d be contacted with a rough draft document containing all information and concepts we have for the event so far -which, if everything goes to plan- should be done later today. From there, it’d be a matter of brainstorming and planning, tying loose ends, polishing the event. And, after official mod applications close, the early birds can assist in looking through them if they so desire.

To answer the latter question, yes, you can be an organizer and/or mod and still participate directly in the game. Since most of the mechanics are dependent on drawing, writing and RNG; you truly wouldn’t have much of an advantage. As long as you do not abuse your mod privileges -if you did, you’d be promptly demoted and kicked from the event-, you will be able to participate just like every other player.

Are you accepting all applicants or going to put a cap on the number of players?

As a baseline, we are aiming somewhere around 20-30 players, however, that number might change depending on the applications we end up receiving, only time will tell. But we will try our best to include as many people as we possibly can.

Questions Received in the Interest Check [Part 1]

- As both an artist and a writer, would I have to stick to one art form or would I be able to switch between the two?

You will be able to mix and match how you submit your actions. Can be all art, all writing or, if you so desire, a combination of both.

- If someone was to participate by writing, would their word count be connected to how impactful their actions were, or something else?

Yes, length is be how writing submissions will be handled. However, we are still deciding on what the specific word count will be for each category.

- Will there be a Discord or a centralised method of communication to facilitate team building?

The event will be held mainly over Discord, in a public server set to open after participants applications open. In said server, those who are interested will be able to chat, mingle and potentially plan and discuss alliances before the event officially starts. And once it does, those who wish to Watch the game unfold will still be able to join and spectate.

- What would be the gimmick of this event?

It will be revealed, along with more details about the event, after the interest check has concluded.

Remember the interest check will remain open until August 3rd.

Can we do preplanning? Like team with other people before it starts and set up our team themes?

Absolutely, thank you for the question! If you wish to start planning out your teams as early as literally right now, you can.

The participant application form will include a section in case you already know who you want to team up with, and we will do our best to include all members of the team.

(Note #2: This idea was born from a misunderstanding of another event, Creative Life. Yours truly managed to get the concept so wrong that I accidentally made up a completely different event. Why not make it real?)

Have you ever imagined being part of a Life Series? Dreamed of the thrill of going from green to yellow to red? Longed to weave your own tale in a world that is, for all intents and purposes, out to get you?

Well, have we got a concept that might interest you, friend!

[Unnamed] Life, a month-long event where you will get to participate in a Life Series season in a completely different way, for Minecraft won't be our main stage. Instead, stories will be told through any art form and a fair bit of good ol' role-playing.

But how will it work, you may be wondering?

The purpose of the event is to have fun! Our Players (the participants) will be able to traverse the land to their leisure, but will only be able to interact with the world by either making a drawing of their character doing the action or by writing a one-shot accordingly! Of course, requirements in terms of the creations' quality will change depending on how impactful the action the Player wishes to do is. Gathering resources? A mining trip? A clean sketch will suffice! Building a base? That would require color. Setting a trap? That would need more polish, perhaps a simple scene.

And outside of interacting with the world, the Players will be able to interact with each other, via role-play. Will you build alliances? Reap chaos? Who will you choose to be your team? It's all up to you to decide.

Not to forget a touch of RNG, combat and random events along the way.

The Winner shall be the last one standing.

This is a rough idea yours truly has been thinking about constantly, some say it is quite the impulsive decision to go through with it, but I digress.
