〘 EVENT 8 〙— MOVIE NIGHT!

there’s been a change in tonight’s event! i looked up the barcade and it really didn’t look that fun! so instead you guys are going to rooftop cinema to watch a movie! now we’re going to let you guys vote on what movie you’d like to see but voting on what movie you want to watch, keep in mind that other’s may not have a netflix or hulu so i’m gonna have to find an online link for everyone! when walking into the rooftop cinema, you can get your choice of snacks, drinks and headphones for your stay. the movie will be starting @ 9:30 PM.

❛ IF you weren’t already aware, this is ELIAS BEAL! They’re 27 years old and from INGLEWOOD, CA. ELIAS is often told that they bear a striking resemblance to FREEACKRITE but, they don’t see it! They also sound a lot like ERIC BELLINGER but that’s just a coincidence.

〘  HISTORY!  〙

The complete upbringing of Elias’ childhood was nothing less of adventurous, for the most part it was good but struggles came into play occasionally. Every six months, there was new school he’d been enrolled in all around the state of California along with a few other states surrounding. It was as if he and his mother couldn’t stay in one place, the both were bipolar disorder sufferers so the bond between the two was unbreakable being that the two knew each other like the back of their hands. His mother, a strong advocate of marijuana lived her life carefree and spread the positivity onto Khari who smoked his first blunt at the age of thirteen in the surroundings of his mother and other close relatives. Never settling in one place, Elias became accustomed to making loads of friends whom he frequently kept in touch which helped in the long run of his musical career due to his high popularity factor in his area. There was an alluring chill characteristic about Elias that made people want to get to know more about him but he’d never open himself completely to another. Not because of some things that happened in the past that triggered his trust meter but because he simply didn’t want or need somebody in his damn business; it was quite simple for him, move in complete silence. That is until his admiration of marijuana and all strains grew more and more to the poking where he invested into his own small dispensary at an abandoned shop near his neighborhood— in less than three months of his newfound booming business, Elias’ shop was robbed which steeped his income outrageously for months. Dealing with the situation in complete and utter silence, he and his crew found himself having no parts of the situation that he initiated and left with a clean wrap in Inglewood. Interests of creating a career in music came randomly but the adoration was always there, the mixtapes he dropped gained underground success in which he had no problem in having and accepting, soon going into affiliation with STNE, the SINGER-SONGWRITER/DISPENSARY OWNER, Elias is now a well-recognized artist with the label.

The Atlanta native was not shy of the music business, everyone wanted to be something or make something of themselves, she just knew that with an area like that she had to elevate herself. All her prayers had been answered when a freestyle she did ended up on Social Media and went viral, managers and producers called her left and right to try and work with her and she just wasn’t sure. That was up until ISAIAS MOREAU got into contact with her and the deal he offered was something she couldn’t find just anywhere, he not only made sure that she was well taken care of her but her daughter. At 19, Monica got pregnant from her relationship at the time, he was playing basketball in college and dreams of going pro. She knew what it was like to have dreams and want to one day be able to accomplish them. Now that she had signed the deal with OVO she was ready to get her own life started. Being in the spotlight as a new artist has been very hard for her, being that there was no media training in the world that could ever shake who she was. She had a bad temper and that came from constantly being around people who always wanted something from her rather than just being around. She came from a single parent household and never thought she’d be doing the same thing, it becomes hard to provide so to do Monica has started to strip and sometimes escort for some of hip hop’s finest. Her “relationship” with Young Thug was nothing more than a publicity stunt that worked very well in her favor. Her face was out there more than usual, and although his feelings for her were real she knew she had a job. Monica is very serious anything that pertains to her daughter and wants to give her best life she can, Ivy is her true joy in life. So when she sees people like KENNEDI MALONE who probably doesn’t even know how to change a diaper, it doesn’t sit well with her. Her current goals in life are to not slap anymore paparazzi’s, keep the escorting/stripping a secret until she’s saved the amount she wants to, and become OVO’s best new RAPPER.

ISAIAS MOREAU  ― ( mentor ) ―  With her attitude, Isaias knew he had a lot to deal with but it was nothing that he hadn’t dealt with before. During their first meeting, he made it very clear that the only way they would work with each other is if they establish boundaries and trust. Monica was to respect his work ethic and never question his criticism and strategies. It took her awhile to get used to the authority but eventually she got the hang of it and their relationship has been running smoothly ever since.

KENNEDI MALONE ― ( rival ) ― Becoming a mother was one of the best things that has happened to Monica, and to be around someone who doesn’t take the same pride irks her. To know she has children and not take care of them is disgusting to her. When they were at a OVO outing, Monica being the person she is just couldn’t seem to bite her tongue. The ladies exchange very distasteful words and Kennedi makes it her mission to let the world know that she doesn’t like Monica and tries to hault what she does.

LUX VENTURA ― ( colleague/friend ) ― Monica and Lux have something in common and that’s scrutiny. They both know what it’s like to be in the public eye for things that they have or haven’t really done. Monica’s usual fire is because of her attitude and the fact that she such a young mother. Lux realized how hard it is to be young in the business and she took Monica under her wing. They have been friends since then.

Zenobia Roman was an orphan from New York, who was fortunate in meeting Jeramy Roman a caucasian, cheery, and philanthropic renowned filmmaker, dreadfully lonely. After the tragic death of his family in a car accident, he was left by himself with an abundant amounts of resources, access, and financial abundance but was set on ending it all. One night on one final binge of insanity he traveled late night to the slums of Harlem for a quick fix, only to find an 11 year old Zenobia homeless cold, and tragically a runway he suspected was assaulted. He was looking for a dealer, and stumbled across her sleeping in an ally way. He thought she was dead, and was intoxicated from fumes of her home that her mother’s boyfriend burned down on one of his manic episodes. Finding he died in the fire, Zenobia was left to fend or herself; her mother arrested for child abandonment despite that being untruthful; But Jeramy knew he wouldn’t live with himself if he left the child in such a predicament. So he kept up with her health, hospital costs, and inquired her living arrangements for the duration of her healing. He finally decided it was inevitable that he’d be adopting her. After years as priding her as a daughter, he placed on a pedestal. Funding and supporting every dream that she’d ever had interest in. Even with her reckless stage of finding her identity in wanting to be a photographer, following a model, and lastly a singer. He told her that was the last straw, that she needed more direction. But when she seen her remarkable talent, he knew she’d make it happen. And several years later, and chart topping albums later he’s realized just how far and driven his daughter was set on making things happen for her dreams. Now a highly successful CREATIVE DIRECTOR/RECORDING ARTIST under OVO Sound, Zenobia Roman as made remarkable strides as a fashion icon and pop star.

we’ve received your messages questioning the fate of this rp and we just want to set the record straight that we aren’t going anywhere. we’ve said it many times but it’s really simple: those who want to stick around, we’re more than happy to have you and those who don’t, we really hate to see you go but we can’t hold you either. with the current climate of rp, things have changed drastically. people don’t have the time they once had to dedicate their days to rp and we want this experience to be as lax as possible, but still fun! rp’ing isn’t a job or a chore and it shouldn’t feel like one so we’re making a few alterations on our end and we expect some changes on your end so we can move forward.

IMPROVEMENTS:

being in the cut for days and coming out to reblog music.

being in the cut in general. - you don’t have post a para starter, it can be script or just one sentence, and we’re no longer tolerating quiet dashes during the day. we know you guys are here. 

the division. because it may be confusing to some, we’re going to axe the main rivalry. we’re going to keep the two labels, you can choose to be unaffiliated. those who want to keep their rivalry going can choose to for drama and character development. we’re just going to be a celeb rp centered around the music industry.

threads and time frames: from now on, when we do big events/plot twists we’re going to allow them to run on for a couple of days, but at the same time you can have other threads with other people where your chara is doing something else (much like an indie interaction if you’re familiar with indie rp).

the pressure to para, graphics, etc. none of that is mandatory. the only mandatory thing is that you rp. we’ve said this before. 

not working out plots/connections on the dash, as well as most are not actually acting out their jobs. (not everyone is a musician here, so we want to see the range!)
