I couldn't think of a prompt for you until I remembered that Lou loves PSLs, so now I think Tommy must too.
Maybe a fluffy little thing where his boyfriend gets him a PSL on the first day of fall because he knew Tommy loves them? Maybe another coffee date where they actually talk?
❤️❤️ thanks queen ❤️❤️
I totally misread half of this prompt, but they do actually start to talk! Here you go ❤️
The first time Buck ever bought Tommy coffee, he stared at the menu and thought, ‘he seems like a “I take it black with one sweetener” type guy.’
The next six months consisted of Buck learning many new things about both Tommy and himself, but one of the most interesting was the fact that Tommy was the complete opposite of a black-with-one-sweetener guy.
He liked his coffee sweet. Really, really sweet. No artificial sugars, he wanted the real thing. He always asked for extra pumps of flavoring, triple the regular amount of cream, and, if there was any room left in the cup, he’d fill in that remaining space with coffee.
“The actual taste of coffee is so gross,” he explained to Buck one afternoon as they laid in bed, naked with long limbs draped all around each other. “I’m convinced anyone who says they like it is just lying to themselves.”
“So why get coffee at all?” Buck asked, hand absentmindedly running back and forth over Tommy’s chest. “Coffee places have other options, you know?”
“Habit, I guess? It kept me awake when I was in the army, and now getting a little taste of it makes me feel like I’m more alert.”
“Makes sense.”
“How did we get to talking about coffee anyway?” Tommy asked, turning onto his side to better face Buck. He placed his hand at the small of Buck’s back, drifting down until he could give his ass a squeeze. “I thought we were headed for round two?”
“Oh, we are,” Buck assured him with an enthusiastic nod. “Get to know you questions are a big turn on for me.”
“Oh really?” Tommy questioned with a sly smile. He hooked his leg over Buck’s thighs and quickly sat up so he was straddling him, then he leaned down and whispered into Buck’s ear, “What animal do you think best represents your personality?”
Buck snorted, tossing his head back with a laugh. “See, you joke,” he replied, “but that’s actually a great question where the answer may surprise you.”
“Yeah?” Tommy kissed at Buck’s ear, then at his collar bone, moving down to suck on the skin just above his nipple. “Well, why don’t you show me your answer instead of telling me?”
The questions had ended fairly soon after that.
*****
Buck shook the memory from his mind as he stared at the red door. He gripped the coffee cup in his hand and stood up straight before knocking.
He thought he heard mumbling, but after waiting a couple of minutes he knocked again.
This time there was a bang, some cursing, and a louder, “Coming!”
The door opened a moment later. “I really shouldn’t buy more cookies, Clara, but-” Tommy froze when he looked away from his wallet and up at Buck standing in his doorway. “You aren’t Clara.”
“No,” Buck confirmed. “Sorry.”
“Don’t be sorry,” Tommy replied, tossing his his wallet onto the desk near the entryway. “You just saved me twenty bucks. Here, come in.”
Tommy moved out of the way so Buck could come inside, shutting the door behind him.
Buck couldn’t help but stare. Tommy was wearing a white undershirt that clung to his skin from either water or sweat. The gray sweatpants he was wearing left little to the imagination, and his hair was disheveled just like it would always get after they-
“You okay?” Tommy asked, interrupting Buck’s thoughts.
“Hm? Oh, yeah, I- I’m fine. Why?”
Tommy smiled at him. “Because you showed up at my house out of nowhere and you’re looking at me like I have two heads.”
Buck took a breath, then forced himself to look away, opting to look down at the cup in his hand instead. “I’m fine. It’s- I’m good. Just thought I’d stop by for a visit.”
Tommy nodded, suspicious. “Okay. Well, come on in.” He led the way into the kitchen, opening the fridge while Buck stood awkwardly across the kitchen island. “You want something to drink?” Tommy asked, glancing back. He nodded towards the cup in Buck’s hand. “Or is that still new?”
“Huh? Oh! Oh, this is for you.” Buck set the cup down, sliding it over to Tommy.
“For me?” Tommy closed the fridge, eyeing Buck as he picked up the cup and took a sip. “Mm. Pumpkin spice?”
“Came out with it two days ago. Figured you’d like it. I- I got like ten extra pumps of syrup so it should be pretty sweet.”
“I love it. Thanks. What do I owe the honor?”
“In the neighborhood.” Buck shrugged. “You know.”
Tommy shook his head. “I don’t, actually, because this coffee shop is nowhere near my neighborhood. Evan, are you-”
“Did you get hurt?” Buck interrupted. “When I knocked on the door a second time I heard some kind of thud.”
Tommy laughed, dropping his head down. “I might’ve tripped over my pants as I tried to run to the door. I just got out of the shower.”
“And you needed to race to get to Clara with the cookies?”
“Clara lives three houses down from me and is currently in a competition to sell more cookies than anyone else in her class. Apparently, I’m the biggest sucker on the street and the only one who lacks the ability to say no to her.”
“That’s sweet.”
“That’s expensive,” Tommy corrected. “But her classmate, Joey, sounds like a real dick so I want her to win.”
Buck smiled bashfully, his head hanging down as his knuckles rapped against the countertop.
“Evan?” Tommy tried again, keeping his voice steady and low, like being too loud might startle Buck and have him running away. “What’s up?”
Buck pursed his lips, then bit the bullet and asked, “We were good, right? Like, I didn’t imagine that we were good?”
Tommy paused, looked left and right, then leaned over the counter to whisper. “Do you mean, like, sexually?”
Buck sighed. “No. Well, yeah, but no. I- I mean, like in general. I’ve been thinking a lot, and I’m worried I just imagined it. Did I imagine that we were good together. Were we not really compatible? Did we not talk enough? Did we not like enough of the same things?”
Tommy opened his mouth to speak, but Buck continued.
“I keep going over the six months in my head, and each time I come to the conclusion that we were good together, Tommy. Really good together. We saw each other all the time, and when we weren’t together I thought about you constantly. We laughed, and had fun, and you made me happy, and I think I made you happy too.”
“You did,” Tommy agreed quickly. “You do.”
“And I know I moved too fast with the moving in thing, but I don’t think it was worthy of a break up. I think- I think you ran out on me and that wasn’t fair.”
“I know.”
“But it wasn’t fair of me to use you like I did afterward. I didn’t think I was using you at the time, but maybe I was. N- No, I was. It was good- great, actually, but I think I invited you over for the wrong reasons.”
“Evan-”
“But it was wrong for you to accuse me of wanting someone else. That’s not- that wasn’t fair, and it wasn’t true.”
“I know. I’m sorry.”
“I shouldn’t have reacted like I did though, because I said things I didn’t mean. Or, at least, the things I said came out wrong. Because my feelings for you never changed. They were always there, they’ve always been there, and I don’t think I imagined it o- or made it something it wasn’t.”
“I don’t think that either, Evan.”
“And I know I shouldn’t have ignored your calls after the funeral.”
“So you did get those?”
Buck nodded. “I did. I didn’t mean to ignore you. I wasn’t in the right headspace for much of anything and I had a lot going on.”
“Like moving again?”
“Yeah, like moving again. Wait, you knew about the moving thing?”
Tommy shrugged. “Howie answered my calls.”
“Oh.” Buck took a second to breathe, then he started again, calmer this time. “I just think that, maybe, we were both always trying to talk at the same time, or trying to listen at the same time. A- And I think that if we tried to have one of us talk while the other listens, and then we switch, I think… I think we could get somewhere. I- If you wanted to get somewhere, that is. Do you… Do you want to get somewhere?”
The two seconds it took for Tommy to gather his thoughts and speak felt like an eternity for Buck. “I would like to get somewhere.”
“Okay. Okay, good.” Buck scooted out the barstool beside him and took a seat. “So, um, how’s the coffee?”
“It’s perfect, Evan." Tommy reached across the counter to give Buck’s hand a squeeze. “It’s perfect.”

If I knew someone that stalked a film set just so they could show the actors a shirt they made featuring a ship that at least one of them (probably both at this point) famously hates...I think I'd disown them.
#how are they not embarrassed#I'd be hella embarrassed#I can't imagine making a Girardi-Callahan shirt and getting one of them to sign it#also apparently someone can get a free pass to be a piece of shit by just showing their arms

I guess Doctor Odyssey spent so much money on literally everything else, that they couldn't afford to at least get modern looking fake x-ray equipment. 😂

I was tagged by @kinardsevan ❤️❤️
ao3 Tag Meme:
~~Rules: Go to your AO3 “Works” page, to the sidebar with all the filters, and click the drop-down arrow for “Additional Tags.” What are your top 3-5 most used tags? Do you think they accurately represent your writing habits?~~

I mean, the first two don't represent my writing habits anymore, but I do still love some good character introspection and an established relationship.
And also blow jobs, apparently. 🤭
Tagging... @blueabsinthe18
#also it seems I should probably work on my tagging system because I actually have like 107 fics or something like that#hockey rpf#bucktommy#911 fanfic
