author: woodchoc_magnum
read the tags: angst with a happy ending, getting together, pining, depression, post-season 7, b/t breakup, buddie roommates era
summary: Set post-Season 7, where Eddie is struggling with depression, trying to put his life back together, and hopelessly in love with his best friend.
excerpt:
"Eddie, come on. You have to get up. You can't just sleep and hope that things will miraculously get better. He's angry, yeah, and it's going to take time, but you have to keep moving."
"I don't want to keep moving," Eddie snaps at him, sitting up in bed, positively fuming. "That's all I've ever done! I get shot down in a helicopter and I just keep moving. Shannon leaves me and I just keep moving. Shannon fucking dies and I just keep moving! I nearly died and I just kept moving – well, I'm done! Nothing is better! Everything is worse! No matter what I do, I keep hurting people, but if I just stay here in bed, I can't hurt anyone." With that, he curls up into a ball with his back to Buck, pulling a pillow over his head.
Eddie's stubborn, but so is Buck, and he decides to play dirty.
"You're hurting me," he says quietly.
"How?" Eddie spits. "I'm not doing anything to you."
He takes a seat on the edge of the bed. "I'm scared."
"Scared."
"Yeah. That you're gonna sink so deep into this thing that I won't be able to pull you out," he says honestly, "and that one day… you'll be gone. I'll lose you. I think about what Chim went through with Maddie, and… I'm to blame there too, you know? I knew she was hurting; I knew she wasn't well, but I didn't do enough, so… I'm not gonna let you run away from this, or hide away, or… any of that shit. I'll stay here. I'll drive you to your appointments. I'll sleep on the floor in your room if that's what it takes to keep you here."
He glances over at Eddie, and registers the slight shake of his shoulders – Eddie's crying, in silence, but still. Buck's words are having an effect.
"You remember when you told me that I'm not expendable?" he continues. "Well, you are irreplaceable. You're my best friend in the whole fucking world. I love you. I would do anything for you, so… that's why I'm here. And that's why you won't chase me away."
Eddie lets out a shuddering sob. "Fuck," he blurts out. "God fucking damn it."
"Yeah, you are stuck with me," Buck says ruefully. "Bet you're regretting that right about now."
"No, I– never," Eddie weeps. "Never. Okay?"
Buck glances over at him again – he's crying, hugging himself, and Buck just can't leave him on his own anymore. So he slides over the bed, spoons around Eddie and wraps his arms around him in a burly hug.
Eddie freezes, at first, but then he relaxes, letting out a sigh as he allows Buck to hold him. They lie in silence together, until Eddie slides a hand down Buck's arm, and entwines their fingers together.
"I got you," Buck says in his ear.
"Yeah," Eddie murmurs. "You do."

(Realized I was never gonna finish this long ass 9-1-1 fic before the premiere, so today I’m doing the seriously condensed version for Tumblr—which I still have to break into two parts, ffs.)
It’s Thursday afternoon, three days before Father’s Day, and the atmosphere at the 118 is grim. Gerrard is gone, at least, and everyone celebrated with cake—specifically, a Ding Dong, The Witch is Dead! cake, complete with a chocolate house crushing little black boots—but to everyone’s surprise, Buck isn’t exactly welcoming Bobby home with open arms anymore. He hasn’t forgiven Bobby for resigning in the first place. Making matters worse, Margaret and Philip Buckley are flying in for the weekend. Also, Eddie is depressed because Chris hasn’t called since he left for Texas six weeks ago, and Eddie doesn’t expect to hear from him on Sunday, or possibly ever again.
Hen tells Eddie Christopher will forgive him. “He’ll come home. He just needs a minute.” Eddie says that six weeks is a hell of a minute, but Hen persists. “You’re a good father,” she says, ignoring Eddie’s humorless laugh. “You messed up; I’m not saying you didn’t. But that doesn’t negate all the good you’ve done, too. Kids, they want you to hear them. They want you to show up, so when Christopher calls, pick up the phone and listen. You two love each other, Eddie. It’s going to work out.”
But Eddie’s gaze just drifts to the kitchen, where Bobby is quietly looking at the stack of uneaten fire-engine-shaped mini-waffles that Buck refused to eat, even though he’s the one who bought Bobby that ridiculous novelty waffle-maker in the first place
“You ever think maybe love just isn’t enough,” Eddie says, and Hen isn’t sure how to answer that.
*
Meanwhile, Chimney, thankfully, has the day off and is drinking a beer with Tommy. (Hen, left to deal with these weird morose vibes at the 118 by herself, quite rightly considers this a betrayal and has appropriately sworn revenge.) Chimney and Tommy talk a little about their own families: Tommy hasn’t spoken to his dad in years; meanwhile, Chimney finally gave up months ago after actually telling his dad how he really felt about being abandoned. He just needed to hear his father apologize once, just once—but he couldn’t do that, not even that, and Chimney decided enough was enough.
Tommy, who’s only ever met the Buckley Parents one time (but has quickly clocked to Buck’s wildly shifting moods whenever discussing them), asks Chimney how much of a disaster this weekend is likely to be. Chimney tells Tommy that—apart from big family secrets and the general emotional trauma—every time the Buckleys visit, someone comes close to death: warehouse fire (Buck), lightning strike (Buck), viral encephalitis (Chimney).
“Maybe don’t go up in a helicopter till they’re gone?” Chimney suggests, and Tommy says, “Jesus,” and gets another beer.
*
Back at the 118, things have gone from bad to worse. A call leads to Buck recklessly risking his own life to save someone. He walks away with only a few bruises, but Bobby yells at him for nearly getting himself killed. Buck snarks that he must still be that young, impulsive hothead after all. Bobby, a bit at a loss, tells Buck that he has come a long way, but he can’t put himself in danger just because he’s angry at Bobby.
“What is this really about? You can talk to me, kid. I’m here.”
“Right,” Buck says, scornful. “You’re here. For ... how long again? Seven more, I think you said? No—no, you never actually said, did you? That one’s on me. Right, Cap?”
The bell goes off, ending the argument. Bobby tries to talk to Buck again after the shift, but Buck is already out the door. He barely gets any sleep that day before he and Tommy drive over for The Big Family Dinner. Tommy tries to talk Buck into staying home, suggesting they go tomorrow night instead, but Buck insists it will be a Thing if they don’t go.
Dinner goes badly. Margaret and Phillip aren’t intentionally rude or actively malicious, but there’s still a thread of casual biphobia in much of what they say: Evan’s always going through these phases. Well, if it’s not a phase, Evan, you must have known; how could you not? Please don’t misunderstand, Tommy, of course we like YOU. Very much! Yes, Tommy, thank you for your service. We’re just saying, Evan likes to throw us for a loop now and then. Really, Evan, you’ve had so many girlfriends you’re basically straight, aren’t you?
Buck finally loses it shortly after Maddie goes into the other room to check on Jee Yun. Margaret suggests that while she’s happy that Buck and Tommy are happy, of course—happy for now, at least—she’d just hoped Buck would’ve started to settle down by now, get serious about someone, rather than start experimenting. Phillip also jokes that he’d thought Buck had outgrown making bids for attention, and Buck just—snaps.
“Why did I have to work so hard to get your attention again? Right. Cause it was too hard to look at me. Cause I was the reminder of what you lost, the screwup you got left with. Maybe if Daniel had grown up and turned out bi, you’d—"
—and Margaret slaps Buck across the face.
It shocks everyone, very much including Margaret, but when Buck finally blinks and glances at his dad, Phillip automatically moves to stand behind his wife, silently taking her side. Buck, a bit dazed, mutters he’s sorry and tells Chimney not to tell Maddie what happened, right before Tommy all but pushes Buck out the door and drives him home.
Buck, still a little shellshocked, mostly can’t believe he said what he said, insists he shouldn’t have gotten that upset, and tries to brush off Tommy’s efforts to comfort him. Tries to get him to leave. Tries to distract him with sex when Tommy refuses to leave. Tommy, not having any of it, sits Buck down and talks a little about his own childhood, how he’d run away from home after his father had found out Tommy was gay, how—broken and bleeding—Tommy had never called, never looked back. Buck protests it’s not the same because Margaret and Philip aren’t abusive, have never hit him before tonight, aren’t really homophobic—at least, not in the same way—and also, Buck deserved that slap.
“Who throws a dead kid in their parents face?” Buck asks, miserable.
“Someone who lived under the shadow of a brother he never knew about for 30 years?” Tommy asks, then takes Buck’s hand and makes Buck look at him.
“Look, maybe it’s not the same. You’re never going to convince me you deserved it, Evan, not any of it—but what I’m saying is, when people repeatedly hurt you? You don’t have to look back. You don’t have to keep trying. You can, if that’s what you want—but you don’t have to forgive anyone just because they’re family. That’s not what being a family should be. And, for what it’s worth, that includes Bobby, too. Just ... maybe consider what you’re actually angry about—or if it’s even anger you’re really feeling here—before deciding to cut him off for good.”
Slowly, Buck sinks into Tommy’s side. Tommy wraps an arm around him. Kisses him gently just above birthmark.
(Part II is finished, coming tomorrow or the next day)

___________
Here's a romantically fluffy snippet from Chapter 32 of a conversation Buck and Eddie are having while they dance in the living room.
___________
Once Eddie hears the introduction, he asks, “What song is this?”
“It’s “Blue Skies” by Noah and The Whale and I think it’s perfect because babe… for the past month and a half, we’ve experienced a lot of dark skies but I believe we’re finally about to see some blue skies.”
He tilts his head to the side. “Amore mio, what do you mean?”
“Well… the chorus of this song talks about blue skies are coming and I think that’s where we’re headed.”
They move to the center of the room, wrap their arms around each other’s waist and slow dance. When the leader starts singing verse one, Buck sings with him, “This is a song for anyone with a broken heart. This is a song for anyone who can’t get out of bed. Oh, do anything to be happy.”
Eddie gasps, he bites his bottom lip and tries to blink away his tears because he remembers it was just a few short weeks ago that Buck could barely get out of bed. On January 2nd, his heart rate lowered and he became unconscious and unresponsive and he thought he was going to leave him forever. Then Friday night, his heart stopped again but this time it was because someone tried to take him away. On Monday, he could barely get out of bed again but today, they’re in each other’s arms and they’re dancing like they used to and he’s so happy he can hardly contain it.
When his tears start rolling down his cheeks, he realizes he’s unsuccessful at stopping them.
Like always, Buck’s right there and he notices. He unwraps one of his arms, lifts his hand and wipes them away. Then he places soft kisses underneath both of his eyes and whispers, “I’m still here babe and I’m not going anywhere. EVER! I promise and I’ll never break your heart!”

This is an EPIC LOVE STORY!

Chapter Summaries
Chapter 1 - Eddie makes a new friend while Buck receives devastating news regarding the sperm donation he made for Connor and Kameron.
Chapter 2 - Buck does a lot of research to learn more about the abnormalities found in his red blood cells and Eddie starts a new therapy journey that’s all about him and not the traumas he’s experienced.
Chapter 3 - After more than a month, Buck and Eddie finally spend time together outside of work but it doesn’t end well and they part with a lot of uncertainty regarding their places in each other’s lives.
Chapter 4 - Eddie has a few realizations about his life which causes him to consider moving back to El Paso, TX while Buck continues to be reminded of his past which causes him to take an impromptu road trip across America.
Chapter 5 - Both Buck and Eddie have difficult conversations with their parents and Buck finally learns the truth behind the reason why his mother despised him while Eddie finally tells his mother about the way she tries to control him.
Chapter 6 - More than two weeks after Buck pushed Eddie away after suggesting they needed a break; Eddie decides to try again. Eddie’s there for Buck when he’s at his worst just like Buck was there for him when he was at his worst and he won’t let Buck give up.
Chapter 7 - After Buck’s mental breakdown, Eddie has his back the same way Buck had his when he had his own breakdown more than a year ago.  They share several vulnerable and emotionally intimate moments with one another and they begin to realize their small, sweet and caring gestures matter just as much if not more than any grand gesture ever could because these are the foundations of a long-lasting love relationship.
Chapter 8 - Buck, Eddie and Chris all have their own therapists and during their sessions, they reflect on their pasts while they’re in the present so they can prepare for their future together as a family.
Chapter 9 - Buck and Eddie are there for each other when Buck has to testify as a witness during the trial.  But by the end of it, they’ll both realize their individual and shared traumas are going to keep resurfacing until they talk about them, deal with the fact that they’re in love with one another and face the fact that they can’t live without each other.
Chapter 10 - As Buck and Eddie finally begin to confront their past traumas, they realize how much they need each other to fill in the gaps of their memories.  Additionally, the universe screams at them for what appears to be the one hundredth time so Buck can realize he doesn’t have to ‘find it’ because he already ‘made it’ and Eddie’s reminded tomorrow isn’t promised and he doesn’t have to die alone if he doesn’t want to.
Chapter 11 - A “virga” or dry thunderstorm is in the forecast but once the rain starts, the thunderstorm happening outside won’t be able to match the storm brewing inside between Buck and Eddie.  It’s the universe’s final scream and when the tumultuous winds begin to blow, they’ll have one last chance to hold onto everything they’ve built over the last six years or they’ll lose it all forever.
Chapter 12 - Buck and Eddie have always shared a deep physical attraction and an emotional intimacy that’s unmatched but now that they’re in a relationship, they’re learning how to navigate the romantic intimacy they’ve been waiting for six years to explore. The love they have for each other is a once in a lifetime, soulmate, love of their lives type of love that transcends space and time.
Chapter 13 - While navigating the newness of their romantic relationship, Buck and Eddie take advantage of every moment they spend together. As their individual lives, people from their pasts, time constraints and the possibility of losing each other again make attempts to interrupt and interfere with their journey to forever, they love, care for, support and hold onto each other even tighter to withstand it all.
Chapter 14 - Buck and Eddie can see the lights at the end of the tunnels regarding the results of Buck’s Cancer Screening along with everything else they’re dealing with. But are the lights they see exits to the tunnels or are they headlights on different runaway trains that are speeding towards them in an effort to interrupt their forever?
Chapter 15 - Buck and Eddie have known they were exactly who the other one wanted in a partner since they met six years ago when they agreed to have each other’s backs. They’re in a romantic relationship, they’re both preparing to ask the other one to spend forever with them and by the end of the seventh week into their relationship, together they will plan their most important and greatest adventure for their future.
Chapter 16 - As Buck and Eddie begin to prepare for their marriage ceremony that will take place in Rome, Italy in December 2023, they start planning their first international adventure as a romantic couple. Even though Chris is still the only person they’ve told about their relationship, several people who know them have already witnessed the love they share and as the days continue, others will witness it too.
Chapter 17 - As Buck and Eddie get closer to departing Los Angeles for their international adventure, a moment in time will remind them; life is fragile, tomorrow isn’t promised and every second of everyday should be cherished because everything can change in an instant. The result of that realization will cause them to hold onto each other even more.
Chapter 18 - As Buck, Eddie and Chris prepare for family gatherings before and during the Thanksgiving holiday, the “Santa Ana Winds” start to blow and all sorts of expected and unexpected familial drama ensues.
Chapter 19 - As Buck and Eddie get closer to their wedding day, the universe begins to align everything so that some of their parent and children's relationships are strengthened while others come to an abrupt end.
Chapter 20 - With only 14 days remaining until Buck, Eddie and Chris depart Los Angeles, CA traveling to Rome, Italy, for their first family adventure, an early morning conversation about “tying up loose ends” helps Buck and Eddie realize there are still several things left unfinished on their ‘To Do’ lists. The question is will there be enough time to complete all of them?
Chapter 21 - Buck, Eddie and Chris are finalizing their ‘To Do’ Lists, double checking their itineraries and packing their suitcases in preparation for their trip to Europe so they can board their flight that departs Los Angeles, CA on Friday, December 15, 2023 at 3:25PM.
Chapter 22 - While Buck, Eddie and Chris spend the first 8 days of their European family adventure in Italy, their primary reason for going will be fulfilled as well as several others they hadn’t considered or anticipated.
Chapter 23 - As the Diaz Family continues their Italian family adventure, they’ll say, “Ciao” or hello and goodbye to a lot of things almost immediately after they become an official and legal family.
Chapter 24 - After Buck, Eddie and Chris arrive in London, England on December 24th; the Diazes immediately start preparing to spend their first family Christmas together. During their stay, each of them will hear a few choice words that will be the life raft to get them home to complete their searches to be seen and to be found.
Chapter 25 - After spending more than two weeks in Europe, Eddie, Buck and Chris are back in Los Angeles and they’re getting ready to attend Maddie and Chimney’s New Year’s Eve party. During the event, they have plans to make two surprise announcements but the question is, who’s really going to be surprised, the Diaz family or their found family at the 118?
Chapter 26 - Buck and Eddie are once again faced with their greatest fear of losing each other but this time it could be permanent and if it is, then they won’t be able to spend the rest of their lives together.
Chapter 27 - After Buck resumes therapy, he’ll continue to face the fact that he “DIED” in March 2023 and during those sessions, he’ll learn about the 7 stages of grief. As he continues his healing journey, Eddie will be right by his side just like he promised and the Diaz family will start to deal with their three minutes and seventeen seconds loss as a family.
Chapter 28 - Two years ago, Eddie was asked, “What are you afraid of?”; twice, once by Frank and once by Buck but he only answered one of them without deflecting. Since that time, he’s been to therapy and him and Buck got married but the question resurfaces when Frank asks Buck the same question and Buck asks it of Eddie for the second time. However, when Buck asks, his reasoning will be about something else entirely.
Chapter 29 - After Buck and Eddie have an emotionally intimate conversation regarding their dreams, they make several decisions that will affect their future. When everything falls into place, they’ll realize one of those decisions will result in them no longer being work partners.
Chapter 30 - In 2018, Buck and Eddie met at the 118 and after some initial apprehensions on Buck’s part, they became work partners and they agreed to have each other’s backs. It’s been more than 6 ½ years, a lot’s happened, they got married in December 2023 and they have the family they both chose. With Eddie leaving the 118 in 3 months and Buck getting closer to moving past his grief, what will him losing his work partner mean for him?
Chapter 31 - As Buck’s life hangs in the balance from what’s suspected to be another bradycardia event, Eddie’s by his bedside, their son is being cared for by relatives and their found family is in the waiting room. During this time, many questions will surface that could possibly lead to the truth but will everything be revealed before it’s too late?
Chapter 32 - On January 2, 2024, the figurative skies over the Diaz family became gray and filled with storm clouds. Buck’s recent trauma, Chris’ school project and Eddie’s paramedic studies combined with the attack on Buck’s life, all those things contributed to the grief they’ve been experiencing. However, as the middle of February approaches, will the dark clouds dissipate so blue skies can return?
Chapter 33 - Will be posted soon.

The saddest part of me (chapter 18)
It's time for the angst with a happy ending to show some happiness ❤️
This fic has: ex to lovers, BuckTommy, angst with a happy ending, a depiction of ADHD and rejection sensitive dysphoria, a car accident (but they are okay), some love (a lot of it), Bobby being happy.
You can find my work on AO3
Excerpt:
More fear than harm, that's what Hen had said as she helped him out of the vehicle while Tommy regained his senses. Bobby had been the first to volunteer, ready to stay at the bedside of the two injured men, before finally being convinced by Eddie to go back to work.  “I'll take care of our idiots, don't worry. The team needs you more.” He had offered a reassuring smile to Bobby, who had finally accepted his role as captain and left the ER with the two paramedics.  Now Eddie stood there, in the same room as the two men, his gaze shifting from Tommy to Buck as he tried to make sense of the situation. Buck looked nervous, worried about Tommy, ready to throw himself at his feet to apologize. Tommy, on the other hand, looked away, almost ashamed, searching for anything to take his mind off the situation.  “Can you tell me again what happened?” asked the former military man, leaning against the wall. “I find it hard to believe that you just lost control of the vehicle. I mean, Tommy was driving-”

•You can't just leave like this• 。*♡
(inspiration hit me around 1AM plus I've been wanting to do a helicopter crash fic)
One cold night in Los Angeles, down the middle of the freeway the blaring lights of an ambulance could be heard making its way quickly between the vehicles.
After a whole day of intense searching, the helicopter of the 217 had been found with only one person on the inside: The pilot Thomas Kinard, who was now being taken to the hospital after being miraculously found alive.
His injuries were serious -a gash in his head, multiple bruises and a large piece of glass protruding from his belly and lodged in his pancreas- They had put him on an oxygen label to help with his breathing difficulty.
Buck, Eddie, Chim and Maddie were on the ambulance while Hen assisted Tommy, Buck was clinging to Tommy's hand -And he was unable to let go-
"T-Tommy, Tommy Hey...Hey look at me, Hey!" Buck cries giving Tommy's face light slaps trying to get him to stay awake "Come ooon....p-pleaassee" He sobs placing a hand over Tommy's wound trying to stop the hemorrhage. "Don't leave... don't leave me now please...."
Tommy was pale, cold, disoriented and confused as he looked around the ambulance. But that stopped the moment he locked eyes with Maddie. Maddie clocked that.
"M-m....Maaa...." Tommy muttered weakly reaching out for her.
When Maddie realized he was trying to talk to her she quickly got Up and got closer to Tommy.
"Hey...." She said softly as she grabbed his hand "Hey yeah Its me im here... don't worry"
Tommy smiled weakly
"Momma...." He muttered.
The blood from both Buckley siblings froze from the shock.
"No...." Whispered Buck with a hand on his mouth "No....no...nonononono...." He sobbed realizing what that meant, Tommy was in the delirium phase.
It broke Maddie's heart to see the man who, despite not being married to her brother, had been her brother-in-law for a whole year like this, but right now she couldn't fail him, she couldn't deny this to Tommy, so she wiped away her tears, sighed and spoke to him.
"Y-yes...im here hun....im here don't worry..." She said softly stroking Tommy's hair to calm him down, to what his smile just widened.
"I-I did It mom..." He chuckled as a tear rolled down his cheek "I told you I could do It"
"What did you do?" Maddie asked.
Tommy looked at her.
"I finally have a family...." He whispered excited.
Buck and Chim sobbed even more.
Maddie, Hen and Eddie tried to hold the tears in but were failing miserably.
Maddie smiled at Tommy.
"That's.... that's great honey...I-I knew you could do It....god im so proud of you..."
Tommy chuckled but winced from the pain.
"Mom....It hurts....this hurts...." Tommy sobbed lowly tightening his grip around Maddie's hand.
"I know son....I know It hurts" she said stroking his knuckles "But you have to stay strong....for your family! C'mon you can't leave them right now...not like this....you still have a lot left to do!" She remembered him.
Tommy looked at the roof of the ambulance for a few seconds as if he were remembering and then looked back at Maddie.
"Mom...Can you give Evan a message?"
Buck looked at Tommy, Maddie gave him a quick glance before answering.
"Of course hun....what is It?"
"Tell him.... that I love him...and that the only....thing I regret not having done in this life....Is marrying him..." Tommy smiled.
When we arrived at the hospital, the doors of the ambulance opened wide and the doctors took the stretcher with Tommy inside the hospital.
Buck didn't even have time to respond, he collapsed in the ambulance and started crying loudly. Everyone on the ambulance hugged him.

Sick
Tumblr media
Tommy x Evan “Buck”
Summary: Evan wakes up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat. He realizes his sick but doesn’t want to disturb Tommy. Tommy finds a sick Evan in tbe bathroom and takes care of him.
Tw: emetophobia
———————
Evan quickly sits up in tbe bed putting his hand to his mouth as he jumps out of the bed and into the bathroom. He flips on the light kicking the door shut as he vomits into the toilet.
He lets out a soft groan as the pain starts to settle in. Hes freezing cold but has sweat dripping down his forehead. His mouth is dry but he cant move from the spot on the floor.
He doesn’t to wake up Tommy because Tommy had work just a few hours ago, he needs sleep. Evan layed his head down on the edge of the bathtub the cold surface soothing his headache.
Tommy rolled over reaching for Evan to pull him closer but when his arm hit the flat surface his head poped up and he saw that Evan wasnt there.
He sat up a little more on his elbow and saw the bathroom light on, he must just be using the bathroom Tommy thought.
As Tommy laid there waiting for Evan to come out he started to get worried. He took a look at the time 2:46am, he had only been asleep for three hours. Evan had been asleep when he arrived home, so he just crawled into bed next to him.
“Evan? You okay?” Tommy asks knocking on the door. No response. “Evan?” Tommy trys the knob and to his surprise the door opened.
“Evan!” He yells when he see Evan laying on the bathroom floor. He sees the toilet filled with vomit in it. He reaches for Evan to help him sit up, he’s burning up. “Hey Evan, open your eyes baby.” Tommy squeezes his cheeks trying to get Evan to wake up.
He grabs the thermometer and places it to Evans forehead. 103.2. “Holy shit.” Tommy says when he reads Evans temp.
Tommy scoops up Evan into his arms and carries him to his truck.
Evans eyes slowly open, he can tell hes moving but he doesn’t remember how he got here. He sees the handle in Tommys truck.
He lifts his head up even though his head felt like it weighed twenty pounds. The first thing he saw was buildings passing by. “Hey baby, its okay.” He hears Tommys voice and feels his hand on his thigh, his thumb rubbing small circles.
“I…. I…. I didnt want to wake you.” Evan mumbles. “Shhh we’re here.” Tommy says as they arrive at the emergency room. He gets out and walks over to Evans side opening the door.
He scoops him back into his arms to carry him into the hospital. Theres no way Evan is walking and he doesn’t care what looks he gets.
The hospital took Evan back pretty quickly and ran some tests. He has a bad case kf the flu and a stomach bug. Which explains the high fever and the throwing up.
They gave him some fluids since he was really dehydrated and got his temperature back down a little.
Tommy was able to take Evan back home after a few hours and was told to be on bed rest intill he got better.
When they got back home Tommy carried Evan inside again even though Evan tried to protest saying he can walk.
Tommy placed Evan in the bed and went downstairs to make him some soup. It was just a can of soup heated up in the microwave, that’s really all he could do. Evan does all of the cooking but obviously he cant right now.
“I made you some soup.” Tommy says carefully walking into the bedroom with the bowl of soup. “You mean the microwave?” Evan jokes. “Glad someone’s feeling a little but better.” Tommy says putting the soup down.
Tommy sat on the edge of the bed and fed Evan the soup. Evan smiles at his boyfriend who is feeding him soup like a little kid, he knows he found the one.

Completed Fic: A Little Wisdom
My first ever prompt fill for @badthingshappenbingo!!! Prompt: Toothache
Yes I am using Clipboard!Buck as my checkmark.
Tumblr media
FANDOM: 9-1-1
RATING: Teen
Summary:
Christopher comes home from Texas and needs his wisdom teeth removed, which leads to a larger discussion on hurt and comfort and needs that Eddie doesn't see coming.
Snippet:
“What?” Chris asks, words muffled by the set of his extended jaw. “What’s wrong with me?”
“Your wisdom teeth are trying to come through,” Eddie says. He steps back from Chris and turns off the light. “But they’re impacted. Which just means they’re growing in against your other teeth and causing a lot of pain.”
“Oh,” Chris says. “What do I do?”
I, not we. Like he has to solve his problems himself now. He didn’t talk like that before this summer.
“Well, you’ll probably need a surgery to remove them,” Eddie says.
Christopher’s face twists with apprehension.
“It’s a little surgery,” Eddie assures him. “Nothing scary like you had in the past. Lots of people have to have it.”
Buck could probably rhyme off the exact percentage of people who need it.
To his surprise, Christopher starts to cry. His face goes even redder.
“Aren’t I too young for that?” He blubbers. ”I-I don’t want it!”

The Buck 1.0 fic is here!
It has been completed and posted. I hope you all love it as much as I do.
Eddie keeps messaging. They keep hooking up. Eddie keeps choosing Buck, even though he could easily have anyone he wanted – and Buck knew well the kinds of people who were on Tinder (and Grindr, and Hinge, and what-the-fuck-ever). There are dozens of guys who would sell their mother for a night (an hour, a blow job in a dirty bathroom stall, a hand job on a crowded dancefloor) with Eddie. But Eddie keeps choosing Buck. And each time he does Buck knows it will be worse when Eddie decides he’s had enough.

You know what pet peeve i just noticed? When some people write smut, they describe Eddies nipples as pink. His nipples are BROWN. HES brown. It's so easy to find a shirtless gif or picture of him, and he doesn't have pink nipples.

words by @beforeastorm, art by @screaming-universe for the @118bigbang
Pairing: Buddie Chapters: 8/8 Words: 36,855 Rating: Teen Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply Work Summary:
“Skating,” Bobby explains patiently, “is math and physics. Rotational forces, lift, velocity.” “Skating,” a new voice interrupts, “is math, physics, and soul.” Eddie turns to face the voice. The man walking in behind them is stunning. A bit taller than Eddie – and Eddie is fairly tall for a skater – with curly hair and intense blue eyes. “Ah, Eddie – this is Buck. Buck, this is Eddie, our new skater.” “Yeah.” It’s not much of a greeting, but Eddie extends his hand anyway. He’s ignored as Buck, scowling, strides past them. — Or: after running off another partner, Eddie Diaz moves to Los Angeles to begin his career in men’s single figure skating. “Please,” he begs again, kissing Buck’s jawline as he turns his head to look at him, “bite me,” he says, “bite-bite me” he digs his fingers into his neck so hard he hopes he makes him bleed first, “fuck!” he gaps, Buck’s dick hitting him deep in another sharp thrust.
What one needs to know about vampire bites is that yes, they can transform someone into one, of course, but when there’s only a bite and no release of the venom, the bite can easily be felt as one of the most exciting and erotic moments of someone’s life.
