Eventually she went to school and realized she enjoyed reading. She had never been a genius, a brilliant being admired for it’s intelligence. She was just a kid who wanted to forget. Yes, she wanted to forget ever being alone, to forget the sound of her lonely footsteps against the hard wooden floor. She let herself taken captive by her own fantasies and books made that come true. She alone had learned that both happy and sad stories exist, and somehow that was a relief.
