Update to pt. 2

I didn't think it would look so good in game but....it does??? No animations and the finer details and color bmp isn't done yet but for a base model though..??

I'm kinda..proud.

Personal Modding Process (pt. 2)

So I'm not gonna lie uhh... I've been kinda cooking.

I'm working on personal projects because i got hyped for Dawntrail. (Specifically Viper, fuckin' called it.)

So my plan, and my lore, is that this weapon will work as an allrounder for all my mains (except MNK because obvs.) Basically, events of Shadowbringers happen, North (dad, at this point) retires and his daughter continues on her own journey (Kyt).

Like her father, she starts out training as a monk and learns about Light and Dark Chakra, along with a few other things that happened with North. She became proficient with her abilities but decided down the path of a paladin.

After several events of growing up/near death/etc, her path changed from strictly paladin practices to delving into rouge and gunbreaker tactics. And while training this new style, she practices tapping into chakra points and finding out the unique ways she utilizes them. (I'll probably sketch specifics because I plan to make combat animation sets because i'm quickly learning how to do all of this.. but until then descriptions and some extras.)

The weapon is called Raven Heart. It's a modified Lion Heart, Molybdenum Alloy mix with Lunar Adamantite. Put through countless trials and made under Jessie from Garlond Ironworks' supervisor (Kyt worked on the smelting/frame/engraving).

Specialized in high aetherial shots along with swift slashes with a drawback on initial damage. But makes up with the built in exhaust, designed to provide strong aetherial cuts with a pull of the trigger.

(I'm getting eepy while writing this but I'll finish up here. Ask a quick thing to think about, Kyt uses only one blade while practicing rouge/ninja tactices. Does not mean her hands aren't full.)

Memento Mori is engraved on the blade guard and the description (if you can't read eorzean) says:

"Molybdenum Gunmetal Steel 25 ponzes Master Grade Build, Garland Ironworks Inc. "For the roads old and anew. Don't lose hope." " (of course, subject to change. but i think it's cute and means a lot...)

personal modding progress.

i'm kinda happy that i progressed so fast in one night with modding.

now i got canonical eye tattoo and lightning scars. also pretty custom makeup woo.

now i just have to learn how to import clothes from blender... and learn how to like REALLY work with reshade. oh yhea also this.

i was in fact born. upon this mortal plane of existence. as we all are. by choice? no. merely by chance, unless stated otherwise. do you even know the answer to that question yourself? have you consider the weight of what you're asking? you, as a sentient being, are asking another sentient being if they were born in a slot based on societal definitions that don't mean anything either now or at the end of time. you're speaking to me, are you not? so that should answer your question.

It seemed to take me forever to finally finish this. In fact, originally there was only the first part of the picture - I wanted to draw something cute and positive.... and I can't really say at what point it went wrong. 😅

why do horror visual novels have like the coziest spaces? why does horror in general have the coziest moments?

i'm not talking like "movie jumpscare horror", i'm talking like indie visual novel-esque, resident evil fixed camera, silent hill type stuff. the music is always so calming, the quiet moments with others is so intimate and personal.

i guess it's to balance the fear and uneasiness but in all places of games or media, there's a sense of calm that comes from no other.

it's like dark ambience, or like dark academia. a quiet, rainy night with only the sound of your heater blowing.

what's also good is like when you have the option to like talk to the entity. and it's not like hostile?? so you just kind of grow a bond with this otherworldly thing? like what kind of genre is that? is it still horror??

edward scissorhands and betelgeuse and stuff counts as horror i'm sure but like does it though?? iunno do you get what i mean..? like omori or like hope left me or milk inside/outside or signalis...

like there's a calm that you don't get from anywhere.

a sense of unease that's kind of comforting in a way too.. and it's like so gay too..??
