My God anon, the MEMORIES!! Firstly I think Stranger than Fan Fiction is a work of utter, utter genius and if you haven’t read it, go do that now! GO!!

@drinkurkombucha and I still talk constantly about writing and life and the guys - we just wish we both had more time! You never know anon - there may be another collab in the works! GYAT was like a fever dream - so much fun!

(Side note - I have spent the past few weeks reading the draft novels of two mates and let me tell you - there is writing on ao3, including obviously Kombucha’s, that is far, FAR superior to novels people are submitting to agents. So if you doubt yourself, don’t!!)

I think you and @vinylandcoffeecollection need to write a followup to STFF explaining why Waughy was on AO3 reading Gatty fics please.

STFF was written at the height of my Covid lockdown madness and I proper had to do a double take on this anon because I barely remember writing that ending 😂

Poses universe is such a definitive version of George-and-Matty for me, I forget it's not *the* canon for all Gatty fic. Super excited to see some new versions of them from you in the future!

I always thought Matty would make an amazing teacher! Chaotic as fuck clearly but you’d LOVE to be in his class. And then that old Rufus Wainwright song “The Art Teacher” just made me think: yeah, there is a story here!

a sneak peek in honor of the mayts anniversary? 🤗 (ok it was yesterday but 🤫)

Omg HOW was Me and You Together Song FIVE years ago? Fucking hell! I watched a video of Matty talking through Notes on Radio X earlier - the EMOTIONS 😭 But when MAYTS was released Matty was talking about how amazing 2020 was going to be - we had no fucking idea!

Anyway anon - I’m happy to oblige! The whole part is coming very soon, as in the next week or so I hope. We’re nearly done!

“Look Matty, I -” George started to say. Matty picked up the yellow roses and thrust them at him.

“I got you these. Cos I’m sorry.”

George’s face broke into a smile. “Yellow roses.”

“Like I got you years ago. And I know yellow roses are for friendship not romance, but maybe that’s more appropriate, cos all that fades a bit over the years. And if there’s no friendship there, that’s when things get gnarly.”

“Things have been kinda gnarly.”

“Yeah.” Matty suddenly felt tears stinging the back of his eyes. He turned away from George and gripped the bench, taking a shaky breath. Then he gasped as he felt George’s arms circling his waist, pulling him into a hug.

“I’m sorry,” George said, against his ear. “It’s my fault too”.

“I’m sorry too.” He allowed himself to be held for a minute, breathing out. His lungs seemed to have the capacity to hold so much more air, all of a sudden. And then he turned, pulling George’s face to his.

“You’re crying.” He stroked both of George’s cheeks, wiping the wetness away, then pulled his face down and drew him into a kiss.

He couldn’t remember when they had last kissed, properly. He had read something on a small-hours Instagram scroll about the six seconds. You needed six seconds of kissing every day to keep the connection between you and your partner. It was, the article said, a love note without words.

Way before the six seconds were up, he was a mess, his senses a tangle of live wires as he chased George’s familiar, woodsy scent, the sandpaper stubble grazing his own lips. Then he heard George groan, a low “uhhhhh” that set off a spark deep in his own groin.
