Lydia tapped her nails against her cocktail glass. Ignoring his question, and countering it with another. "What do you think brings people to a bar? life troubles or trying to pick up someone to distract you from those troubles. I'm beginning to think i know which one you are." She pointed at him, playfully. Buying her a drink was an easy give away. He wasn't being very clever or interesting with his tactic to grasp her full attention.

He held back the urge to roll his eyes, who an earth would turn down a free drink? “Well I’ve bought you one anyway darling, if you aren’t going to drink it guess I will have to” he said pulling it towards him. “Lydia? What a nice name you have! So what has brought you here? No offence but you seem to be trying to drown yourself in alcohol. Not that I’m complaining it’s something I would recommend” he said with a small shrug. This was getting nowhere, perhaps he would have to up the anti depending on her next reply.
