I just had the most confusing and mildly frustrating but mostly just baffling interaction, because I'm at my dad's place,, and I'm standing in the kitchen while we're baking something together

because yes guys I DO have a father figure, we hang out and have a great relationship

and somehow we're just talking and for some reason we start talking about those big annoying file organizer things you keep like- your birth certificate in? and I mention something about the old 3 ring binders you use in school saying something along the lines of

'I'm glad I don't have to deal with that horrible clicky sound anymore'

and this guy goes on a rant about how if I'm not 'just saying that to be cute' I need to go see a specialist because somethings obviously wrong with me if the sound of a three ring binder is SO debilitating

and I'm sorry SIR

this is the child who had pathetic little meltdowns till he was SIXTEEN if you didn't warn him before you turned on the coffee grinder are you sure this is the hill you're dying on???

The 2025 Gender Census is now open!

The 12th annual international gender census, collecting information about the language we use to refer to ourselves and each other, is now open until 30th August 2025.

It’s short and easy, for most participants it takes 5 minutes or less.

After the survey is closed I’ll process the results and publish a spreadsheet of the data and a report summarising the main findings. Then anyone can use them for academic or business purposes, self-advocacy, tracking the popularity of language over time, and just feeling like we’re part of a huge and diverse community.

If you think you might have friends and followers who’d be interested, please do reblog this blog post, and share the survey URL by email or at AFK social groups or on other social networks. Every share is extremely helpful!

Just a reminder that you don't have to hear the gods to be a valid worshiper! It's okay to not hear them or to not see any noticeable signs!

The most I get from the gods is a gut feeling or bodily sensations! Even then, it's not often.

There's no right way to communicate with the gods! Heck, you don't even need to communicate with them at all if it doesn't come easy/naturally (unless you want to)!

Just remember that the gods love you and appreciate what you do for them!

Sometimes when I see larger people with big tattoos, I wonder what'd happen to their tats if they end up losing weight. Imagine having prime real estate on your upper arm and investing in a big, gorgeous tattoo of a stallion, and then having to lose a ton of weight for health reasons and to add insult to injury, instead of a noble horse you now have like. a whippet.
