Never knew just how much I enjoy talking to strangers until my Uber driver and I resorted to using translation apps just to communicate. Southern accent + Portuguese= a hot mess. When days start blurring together and I have no concept of the time... I need a time out. I think one of the biggest things I learned about being an entrepreneur is to take breaks as needed. Do everything in your power to PREVENT burnout. Work will be always be there. So I'll be in Cambridge then NY for a few days for a change of scenery, to recharge and possibly get a bit of inspiration. No alarm clocks no schedules. Moral of the story, per usual is not to wait for burnout or permission. Take your break! (at Boston, Massachusetts)

So I've been thinking.... the older I get the less I understand why some ppl are so afraid to age. I think it's a beautiful thing. A blessing really. Experience and Getting older has made me more open, compassionate, less judgmental and much more comfortable in my skin. I don't care about ppl not grasping the beauty of our skin tone, whether I look Muslim enough, too slim, or whatever else I may have been told before. I don't worry about every little flaw that I may come across. Idc and I don't have the time. I even look in the mirror less than I did when I was younger. You have to embrace yourself. Like this is me and I'm happy with it! Now I'm more concerned with being healthy & what my body can do vs how it looks. If this is 30 then I'll gladly welcome more years of giving and receiving love, adventure, and self acceptance. I do worry about the younger generation though. There's even more pressure on them to look or feel perfect...esp bc of social media. I know the silly pressures of the world can make us all feel 'less than' sometimes. But if u reject their ideas of "perfection" those rules will no longer apply to you. Don't give others the power to try and squeeze you into their box. You're perfect the way you are, and will continue to get better🙏🏾. Do you boo❤️ #therapeuticthursday
