I will get back to my projects soon.
I've been dealing with having to move and other monotonous stuff the past few months. I want to get back to making figures soon. I have a few Ideas for more advanced projects I eventually want to get to. Anything I produce I'll share here and on my other socials.

tumblr just deleted a huge swathe of palestinians who were on here trying to fundraise. if you've been helping any of these fundraisers please take this time to 1) check in with palestinians you're in contact with 2) help them submit support requests if needed 3) keep these campaigns circulating while the beneficiaries are being silenced. these campaigns are life or death, this isn't just social networking. do not let these fundraisers languish.

After a lot of trial and error I think I'm finally starting to grasp how to paint convincing looking skin tones. I always have had difficulty combining the right colors along with layering the paint correctly.

I'm still in the middle of painting this figure, but the results look way better than a flat artificial looking skin tone color. I still need to go through and layer over all the joints and seams. I'm also hoping to improve upon making my layers of paint lighter and more consistent as to try and conceal my brush strokes better. I'll continue to practice with this technique and hopefully I can move on to learning other shades of skin tones.

Back again, this time with The Gameclam Console mogul, Mistar Whyte and his new Digital son Front.

I've been working on this on and off for about a month. The project got put on hold for a good while due to a hurricane coming through my area and knocking out power for some time. Base figures are Marvel Legends Kingpin and SW Black Series Omega.

It took me an unreasonable amount of time to try to get the colors on Front as close as possible. It's difficult to recreate a digital sickly effect.

Big project
Do you know 2Fort ? We all know 2Fort. THE Team Fortress 2 map.
Well, here is 2Fort in my room :

It stands at 33cm high and 38cm long.
I started it month ago actually but my first attempt was... it didn't go well :/
So I let it sit in my room for a few weeks and 4 days ago I decided to start over and make it better this time !

I sketches the parts I was going to need using reference pictures.
Using stirring sticks scratched with a sharp tool I could give the illutions of small planks.

then painting. One mistake I made with the first one is that I assembled everything before painting it (it also didn't have any wood details, just flat cardboard)

Assembling :)

Then on to the details, they really bring this whole thing together.
And here are some additional pictures, (the inside is painted to !) :

I hope you like it, it was really fun making it. It's not perfect but I like it.
So this was the big project I was talking about. I'm starting to have a few TF2 goodies I made myself X)
That plus the dispenser bag and... the other thing I've never posted 馃

My first Custom after taking a break to work on a cosplay. This time It's Marvel's Warewolf by Night. This one I made for a friend who appreciates lesser known Marvel Characters.

I used an old Sabertooth head and hands on a wrestler's body. The face, ears, fangs, lower pants, and body hair are all original sculpts.

This was a quickie project. It only took me 4 days on and off to make. I have a few ideas for my next custom so hopefully I'll get to that soon.

so I鈥檝e been looking at your custom action figure posts and I think they鈥檙e amazing! I鈥檝e recently started doing the same for MCU characters I can鈥檛 find or are too expensive but was using action figures from my Star Wars collection I generally don鈥檛 want anymore. which leads to my question of where do you normally get the figures you use to custom from? I鈥檝e tried looking on eBay with little success. anyways, your work is inspiring. Keep it up. 馃憤馃徑
Thanks for the kind words! It makes me happy when people say my work is inspiring, so thank you.
It's no wonder you have trouble finding figures on eBay. That site is good for some specific things you may want to look for, but I'd avoid it if you're going for the cheaper side since it's riddled with price gougers.
Starting with online sources, the two best sites for low prices are Walmart.com and Amazon. They frequently run sales on action figures in order to cycle older stock, so generally the products that are left are either items that didn't sell well initially or overstock items. As a result, most of the prices for action figures range anywhere from $9-$12 and even lower in some cases. The best way to keep track of when sales happen is to follow a toy news and deal social media account. I'll list some of the best and most reliable ones below.
Now the best retail stores for deals are going to be Walmart, Target, and Game Stop. All three stores are seemingly in a constant state of wanting to cycle out product, so you have a good chance to find good figures of any variety in their clearance sections respectively, however prices may vary depending on the store. Game Stop is a especially good location though since they frequently run deals on clearance items like buy one get one, and if you have an account with them you could potentially get items even cheaper than the reduced price.
Lastly I'd recommend any local Comic Shop or privately owned toy store for potential deals. It's common for collectors to sell access figures they may have or even whole collections to those type of businesses. Most modern Comic Shops have sections with used figures of all verities that are typically listed for a lower second hand rate. This, of course, depends on the store.
I hope you find this information helpful, and I hope I'll get a chance to see some of the things you'll make :)

Here's my custom 1/12 scale custom Gorge Gridle action figure based off the Dragons Dogma character created by @wayneradiotv

For this project I used a super sculpy to sculpt the body from scratch. The limbs are an amalgam from a number of different base figures.

As I was making this I had to scramble last minute to redesign the clothes because Wayne made a big announcement about how he has a loincloth now. It worked out well in the end.

A goal I had was trying to get it as close to the Source material as possible. While I took some creative liberties, I'm happy with the results.

Here's my custom 1/12th scale Lethal Company Employee and Bracken action figures.

I took a bit of a break in the middle of working on these, so it took longer than usual to complete. It also didn't help that I botched the first coating of primer because I was trying a new method. Regardless, I'm happy with the results.

The base figure for the Employee is the Client Black Series and the straps are made from a WWE figure accessory. Everything else including the Helmet, shovel, and air tanks had to be made from scratch.

The Bracken base figure is the Marvel Legends Kro figure. I was able to repurpose a lot of original parts such as the Tendrils I used in place of the leaf-like parts. The face and back (where the Tendrils are attached) needed to be reshaped with Apoxie sculpt.

Just finished this side project I've been working on. It's a custom Ultimate Thor Marvel Legends. I fucked up and put metal inside of the hammer and it's wayyy too heavy for an action figure accessory, but I think I can make it work. Ultimately I'm happy with how it turned out.

Back at it making a new custom. Based on my starting materials I wonder if anyone can guess what I'm making. I'll give a hint, it's from a recent video game.

I had some friends come over tonight and one of them pointed at the Wayne Action figure and said "Is that Chris Chan?" To which me and the rest of my friends simultaneously replied "Yes." (This friend absolutely knows about RTVS and who Wayne is)

Christmas has come early. Here is the full 1/12 scale custom RTVS action figure line. It took about 7 months on and off to finish every figure.

To conclude the lineup, my last pieces of the project were worked on simultaneously, and include Logmore, Trog, Fin-Fin, and the Gamechimp.

Trog and Logmore were the most difficult pieces to do in my final project. Each figure is only about one inch tall. Luckily, I bought new sculpting tools to help me with small details.

Another thing I did was I went back and re-sculpted Baaulps face, since I was never too happy with my initial attempt. Thankfully I'm much more comfortable with the new results.

Thanks to RTVS for being an amazing stream group and a big inspiration. I still have a few more ideas I could possibly do in the future, but for now I'll focus on other smaller projects. Thanks to everyone for the support in me making these.
