There was once a saying that you never know what goes on behind the net curtains of suburbia. That is very much the case in the small town of Rivercourt, North Carolina. Secrets are buried in well pruned lawns, and cheating and lies roam the streets of the city. The game has just begun, and there can only be one winner. Just how much will victory cost? And are you willing to pay it? Join in, and start playing. More HereNOW OPEN

LACEY GALLAGHER · 18 · DEALER · EMMA ROBERTS
Lacey Gallagher, when people hear the name they automatically think of that “poor, foster care girl,” the one that’s always looking for a high, which she was. But if you’ve just met her you’ll think she’s a bitch. Always putting people down for a laugh. Lacey learnt from an early age that to get what you wanted and for people to fear you, you needed to be a bitch. And she wasn’t gonna let any one step on her ever again.
Lacey had a promising life with a good family but when she was six her parents were in a car crash. Lacey was in the car and got out with with a few broken bones and lasting scars but her parents weren’t so lucky and died from head trauma moments after the crash. Ever since then Lacey jumped from foster home to foster home, sometimes getting lucky with a good family but mostly she was in homes riddled with kids, drugs and alcohol. It was in the system where Lacey developed into the person she is now. An addict and a bitch.
As soon as she reached eighteen, Lacey moved to the town where her parents died and where she currently resides, Rivercourt. Now shes gets her money buy selling drugs and stealing pretty much anything she needs. Lacey is a smart girl, she could easily get into any college she wanted but like hell she was gonna do that. She was more a “live in the now” type of person. If there is a party, she’s sure as hell at it.

Writing Sample (2+ paragraphs, third person, past tense, preferably IC but not requiered)
Lacey had been in the care of the Derek Martin, a drunken addict, for two months before the murders happened. The father and his three sons were shot dead. Lacey and the other children, four of them, were rushed to the police station. Lacey was asked the same questions over and over again, “Can you tell us what happened?” “Did you see anything?” “Did Mr Martin ever hurt you?”, she always replied with a quiet, innocent “No.” and nothing more was said. It was later found that in a drunken stumble Mr. Martin shot his kids and then himself before getting to the kids left in his care.
Though she never said, Lacey remembers everything. She remembers the sound of the fired gun, the pool of blood that gathered at her feet and the sound of police sirens that neared the house only moments after the final shots. She also remembered that when Mr. Martin got bad, he would hit the children who he was supposed to caring for. And that Lacey and some other girls were often sold to men who came to the house drunk. When she got older she learnt that was prostitution.
After that, since Lacey was the only one who was ‘unfortunate’ enough to have witnessed the murders and they thought the young girl was traumatized by this she was put through therapy for years. The therapists showed her inkblots which Lacey always said were butterflies and that continued for a number of weaks. She liked to think she was one of the most uncooperative patients they’ve had.
Anything else - and I’m sorry the para sample sucks I lost inspiration, haha.

Congratulations Tieler, you’ve been accepted as Diana Lovegood. Please make the account within the next 24 hours and message the main with the link. Welcome to Rivercourt Valley!
OOC Name/Age: Tieler/Eighteen
Time Zone: EST
Activity Level: 5-8 depending on school
Character Desired: Diana Lovegood
Second Choice: Jesse Monroe
Summarize the bio in 3-5 sentences: Dianna is afraid of what her own mind can do to her and after being involved in a hit and run homicide, she moved here to Rivercourt where her siblings were living. Here she met Aaron and after they grew closer and became an item they had a child. Unfortunately the baby was born premature and didn't live past two hours after its birth. Now, she is struggling to live with her secret and the demons that follow her around as she tries to spend her time with the more lively bunch of Rivercourt to hopefully bring more happiness to her life. But after getting tired of her lifestyle she focused more on her job at the bakery as a distraction.
Secret:
Writing Sample:
Dianna hadn't been paying attention that night to much of anything. Her mind was in the gutter and the music was blasting through her stereo system as she cheerfully sang along to every word. The windows were down and the wind was blowing a cool chill against her face. She never expected to crash into something, especially since she always credited herself on being a decent driver. But when a body dressed in black walked out into the street, Dianna didn't have enough time to hit the breaks before her car crashed into the person. The brakes squealed to a rough stop, her body jerking forward before falling back against the seat, her eyes wide. Needless to say, she was terrified.
She hurried to get out of her car, hands trembling in a way that she hoped that never actually happened. Yet, once she saw the street filling with blood her heart jumped from her chest. "Oh god, oh no." she cried out. She couldn't breathe and tears filled her eyes until the wetness spilled over onto her cheeks. "Fuck." she groaned, rushing back to her car. This could not be happening. It couldn't have, she could not have hit a person with her car. After buckling her seat belt back over her tiny frame, her nerves got the best of her and she drove off. Leaving the person she just killed behind her, never to look back.

Congratulations James, you’ve been accepted as Kyle Grace. Please make the account within the next 24 hours and message the main with the link. Welcome to Rivercourt Valley!
OOC Name/Age James / 16
Time Zone: GMT
Activity Level: 9
Character Desired: Kyle Grace
Second Choice: Andre Masen
Summarize the bio in 3-5 sentences:
Secret:
Writing Sample: Tyler's night was getting worse by the minute and he soon found himself sitting on the curb outside one the town's busiest clubs on the verge of throwing up his guts any second now. This was far from how he had imagined his night ending up and he had no idea how a few drinks with his friends turned into a full on booze patrl around the city. His friends were nowhere to be seen and he had never felt more of a mess than he did at that moment. He had lost his wallet and his cellphone in the process of getting into this tarnished state and he had no idea how he was going to find his way home through this busy city. There was almost no way that he was going to go back into the club to try and find his friends and with a line as long as the one outside he would be waiting a while to even get into the club. His best bet was to just get up and find his way back to his friend's place, hoping that he had left his door unlocked or something. Tyler pulled himself slowly up from the curb and staggered forward, almost tripping up on the curb as he walked. His vision was blurry but he could still make out a few things around and it was lucky that he could since the traffic was pretty busy that night. He made his way across the road and onto the quieter, less hectic side of the street and began walking along the sidewalk towards his friend's place, hoping that it wouldn't take him too long to get there.
Anything else: Nope :)

DIANA LOVEGOOD · 24 · BAKERY ASSISTANT · LIGHTS POXLEITNER
Diana Lovegood had lived in sunny Miami all her life, alongside her brother Marco and sister Quinn - minus her permanently absent parents. They all got along great, but when her parents passed away, and Marco and Quinn decided to move to Rivercourt, she decided to stay and enjoy the sunny lifestyle she'd become accustomed to in Miami. Everyone knew she loved it there, and she really didn’t have any reason to leave. It was her safe haven, and with her siblings gone, her home was an endless castle to her. So, when she insisted on moving to Rivercourt, to live with Marco and Quinn once more, it came as a surprise. They had no idea as to why she had decided to up and move. However, they didn't push with the questions on the subject either, it seemed to do her head in and cause her massive breakdowns. The two siblings were just glad she was there and they could protect her from whatever happened.
After moving, Diana quickly became acquainted with Aaron McCracken, whom she considered to be one of her best friends, until they ended up in a more personal relationship that held a fatal finale. The two had a baby together, but the infant was born too early and died after a mere two hours in its life. Diana and Aaron split after the incident, promising to remain friends, if they could. The loss of her first child really tore her up, leaving her to fall into a depression when around children. She doesn't want anything to do with them any more, often getting angry and overly emotional at the sight of them. She basically avoids having to deal with them. Apart from that, she showcases her happy life here, bright and cheerful - the complete opposite to her brother, even if it's only a facade. She's makes herself fraternize with Forest Ingram, and some of the more lively people in the town, opting for something that will brighten her up and bring her away from all the damage she's done to her life.
Diana still has to deal with her reason for leaving Miami still lingering over her. She's hid the hit a run homicide from everyone since she moved to Rivercourt, Marco and Quinn included. It's a secret she feels she needs to take to the grave, and it's something that hides in the pits of her mind and rolls around quite often. She's been able to push the memory back and appear as if she's holding her life together easily for quite a while, but lately she's grown tired of it and backed away from her careless ways with the townspeople. She's focused more on her job at the local bakery, and done everything to take any shift that would keep her busy enough to focus on something apart from her past. Her mind is a dangerous weapon, and the girl is very much afraid of it.

NOAH HAWTHORNE · 28 · OWNER OF HAWTHORNE B&B · JARED PALADECKI
One look at Noah Hawthorne and people think that he’s the type of person who will crush you if you look at him the wrong way, but that’s not true at all. Noah is against violence, and would much rather avoid a fight if possible. He’s much better with words in an argument, but again, he’ll try to avoid them if possible. He thinks it’s a waste of time and would much rather be enjoying himself or working in his cafe which he opened a few months back. He had studied culinary arts in school and although his bed and breakfast is just a bed and breakfast right now, he hopes he can expand it slowly to be able to start cooking bigger meals and gain more customers and ultimately, expand his business. Noah is a completely different person when he’s working, because he gets much more serious about what he’s doing and he doesn’t want to piss anyone off. That doesn’t mean he won’t tease a customer every now and then, but they don’t seem to mind it for the most part.
If you ask Noah about his past, he refuses to talk about it. He’ll joke around, make false accusations to just throw people off his tail because he simply doesn’t trust anyone enough to confide in them about anything regarding himself that he considers personal. Sure, he’ll give you basic information about his family, but that’s about it. Noah knows this doesn’t make him look good and it makes him a little mysterious, but he doesn’t care because the last thing he wants anyone to find out is about what he did a few years back. He was coming home from a party just outside of Rivercourt, driving under the influence when he suddenly hit something with his car. When he went to see what it was, he saw it was a small girl who wasn’t moving. Noah panicked and left her there, abandoned at the side of the road, left to die. He never did find out what happened to her, whether or not she actually died but he doesn’t want to deal with the memory. He avoids drinking at all costs because once intoxicated, he fears he may slip up and share his secret and relive what he did that night.
Noah can be sarcastic at times, and he can be like a giant teddy bear at other times. Although he can come off as a bit of a jerk, he doesn’t care but he can be a sweetheart and a caring individual if he chooses to be. Noah likes to read as well and enjoys good literature but that’s more of a private pleasure of his, because he doesn’t think people would see him as the type who likes to read. He doesn’t care much for people’s opinions but he won’t hesitate to give people his own, whether or not they ask for it and whether or not they like it. Noah loves a good laugh and a good joke and would much rather be the person to provide the joke but he’s always willing to listen to people tell him one as well. His humour is a like a shield, it pushes away the negative thoughts that he doesn’t want to dwell on. Noah is also a big animal lover and has a pet dog whom is truly his best friend and perhaps the only one he trusts and loves the most.

ZAC COPLIN · 18 · SENIOR AT RIVERCOURT HIGH · MITCH HEWER
Zac Coplin is the youngest sibling in the most attractive family in Rivercourt, the Coplins. Having Bradley, Matthew and Edward as his older brothers has sometimes been difficult for Zac. They each had something he didn’t: confidence. Through years, Zac has gained the determination he didn’t have, and beforehand not many people even knew who he was. He was seen as the quiet theatre kid who spent most of his time dancing and not really socializing. He was in his second year at Rivercourt High when he started to come out of his shell a little more. The dancer soon became known all around school for his wild house parties and crazy antics. Which, is what led him to be part of the in-crowd. Even though he was one of the popular guys around school, he didn’t allow it to change who he was, by becoming arrogant or discontinuing to talk with the less popular and more nerdy teens.
Even though Zac's schedule has become busier, holding parties to throw and events to attend, he never gave up dancing. It was in a dance competition, held at his school, where he met Lucy Cosgrove. For him Lucy was, and would always be, just another woman even when she tried her hardest to make Zac happy. Regardless, after the competition they started dating. Everything was running smoothly between the young couple until one day, out of nowhere Zac’s old boyfriend Teddy Branson showed up. Only to bring more tension into the relationship, Teddy was also Lucy’s ex-boyfriend. It appeard to be quite awkward. However, that wasn't enough. The actual story behind Zac and Teddy's relationship, was that they had never officially broken up, so their relationship had only ended due to Teddy ditching town without a goodbye or hint as to where he was going. It wasn’t surprising that Zac still had feelings for Teddy and vice versa. They decided to meet up at a mutual spot of interest, and after a long emotional conversation between the two, they began kissing like old times. This, unfortunately, brought on way more drama than Zac expected. Lucy found out and broke up with him, and soon after that everyone in town knew about the boys' relationship. As a senior now, Zac is trying to combine his studies with his personal life.
Zac is a party animal, much like his brothers, and you could say he loves throwing parties as well as attending them. If you asked anyone in school, they would remember one the parties thrown by he and his brothers. He's also well known for being a bit of a flirt, or what some people would call being a a manwhore. He can’t deny he used to sleep around, and has found it hard to have and keep a steady relationship going. Even if he has a long list of boyfriends and girlfriends, they've never lasted more than a week because Zac would end up hooking up with someone else. Aside from his troublesome love life, he’s a confident guy who doesn't have any problems with talking to people and getting to know them. His most important trait though, is that he couldn’t care less about what the others think of him.

Secret:
Writing Sample (2+ paragraphs, third person, past tense, preferably IC but not required): Noah let out a sigh as the light for one of the rooms went off. It was a little past midnight, and the occupants were teenagers who had just stopped to spend the night since there was a storm. They had been calling frequently for the past hour, asking stupid questions that Noah really didn't feel like answering. Since his home was in the bed and breakfast, he was the only employee around and he didn't want to keep his workers late. He hated when they complained and whined on a general basis, but when it involved lengthening shifts, they were just unbearable. He walked across the room and picked up the phone, pressing the lightened up button. "Front Desk" said Noah as he reached for the nearby pen and pad of paper, ready to write down whatever they were gunna say.
It took a while for the guests to realize he had answered and he could hear their confusion and it was clear they were going to be ordering food. While they remained confused and oblivious to him on the other end, he quickly transferred their call to the local pizza place that was open 24/7 and hung up the phone. "Save myself the trouble and the time" he mumbled as he went back to his room where he slept, picking up the book he had been just reading and petting his sleeping companion behind the ears. It had been a long day and often, he found himself reaching towards a bottle of liquor that wasn't there. He shuddered and held his breath whenever this happened, waiting for the moment to pass and settled for some water.
