Y’all. I advocated for myself to get a job title change and a salary increase. It was so much work. I did my own salary study, I wrote emails, I wrote letters, I updated my resume, I followed up, I wrote my own job description... and it’s on the agenda to be voted on by the board tonight. Looks like it’s going through. I saw the agenda and the recommended action is for board approval. If it passes, I’ll officially be the senior educational audiologist.

I just want all the ladies out there to know that it is possible to negotiate even when it feels impossible. Even when people think you’re unlikable for doing it. Even when you’ve been made to feel like asking for more makes you seem ungrateful or unseemly.

For years it bothered me that my job forces me to be seen as a bitch. I’m over it. I’m really fucking good at what I do, and if people don’t like it, I’m on Lexapro so I don’t give a shit. Hahaha. My whole life is one long lesson in turning the other cheek and learning that life is not fair.

But I still ask.

Seeing this on the big screen was so much fun. We barely stopped laughing. Rosanna is such a stone cold fox.

Hear me out. This movie with Pedro (obviously), but then with Meghann Fahy playing Dakota Johnson’s character, and Glenn Powell playing Chris Evans’s character.

I can't really tell you how I feel about this movie because it would spoil it for you. Celine Song also directed Past Lives.

Dear friends, I share this picture not because I'm proud of it. I've been a little depressed about how ramshackle my abode is and this room really is the worst. I'm sharing because my laundry room otherwise known as my junk drawer room had to get a bit of a makeover because I adopted another big cat and needed a litter box solution. Francisco was kind enough to build me some shelves so that I could fit these two LARGE high sided litter boxes underneath. I'm pleased and the cats love them. They were expensive, but worth it for my sanity.

I just said out loud to my cats and anyone else who was listening, "two pieces of buttered toast for dinner, life is so good."

Then I remembered I already have one perfect bar stool with a small footprint. I do kind of want one more, but I definitely don't feel like paying a million dollars. I'm thinking something vintage and backless that can be tucked away easily. Need to run over to Vintage Concept and see what they have.

Heidi already booked us in for The Materialists because we love Pedro. She's still mad at us for making her see Thunderbolts...but like, there was nothing else out. We had already seen Sinners. Last weekend we saw Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning. So entertaining. You can almost see the creators sitting in the room and saying, okay so the final fight will be on a plane and the bad guy will have a Tanya McQuoid moment. Pure comedy. We are seeing Bring Her Back tomorrow and I've been assured this is not one of those horror movies that end up being comedy. I remember when we saw Speak No Evil and there were so many times we busted out laughing. Come to find out the original Danish version was NOT a horror comedy. The ending was dark dark dark compared to the US version.
