It's a cool fall morning... what are you going to do to stay warm and comfortable?

Tonight is the first blood moon in October since 2009. Take this time to reflect on mortality, the afterlife and things that matter most to you. This is a time to connect with your patrons, guides and ancestors. The veil between worlds grows thinner. Seek guidance, courage and energy to store away for the coming winter months. The full moon begins this afternoon and is in transit through the sign Aries.

The moon is currently in transit through the sign of Pisces. The Moon in Pisces is the end of the lunar trip through the Zodiac. These couple of days are more meditative, great for first drafts or purely imaginative art-making. The Muse is close-by during this transit in Pisces. This is the sign of the Fishes, and wrap up time. Good activities are resting, day dreaming, meandering, soaking and escaping into the imagination. Pisces is a mutable sign, so the mood can shift in a moment. That's why it's wise to create wide open unscheduled time to dillydally. It's restorative to the soul, on these days, to simply Be.

Today marks the official Autumn Equinox. Observe it however you see fit. We're going to light some candles tonight and make a cup of good, strong tea. Today is for turning inward. Examining your blessings and shortcomings. Being grateful for the "harvest". If you're looking for the right sort of spell to cast, try magick for letting go (of people, objects or behaviors that no longer serve you well), preparation for the thinning of the veil between worlds or perhaps some kitchen witchery for abundance/prosperity.
