I don't know if this is controvertial or not, but I think that what's missing in The Horse and The Infant, especially during the battle screams, are feminine voices. The Greeks weren't saints, they were invading a whole city with yes, soldiers, but also women and children.

I think it would be even more impactful if we heard women screaming and the faint crying of children in the song, that could also be a foreshadowing of Astyanax's faith.
