Nothing in this entire fandom has remained Canon since the moment it was put down on paper. Canonically, the marauders and their predecessors live in a world of homophobia racism and hate. canonically? James Potter is WHITE. Canonically? Most of them are dead. Canonically? Peter turned on every one of his closely bound friends.

You wanna talk about canonical? Canonical doesn't exist here. It's a loosely bound concept, quite frankly. And not agreeing with one ship? Sure. Absolutely. Agree to disagree. But using the inconsistencies as an excuse is nothing short of hypocritical.
