im not sure if someone else has thought of this?? or maybe its already confirmed but in the last of us, the “fireflies” are a very important focal point in the games. their symbol is a firefly, and their logo is

in joels guitar, theres a moth. moths are attracted to light. as in “like moth drawn to a flame”. i believe ellie also draws this both a lot

is this a metaphor for how their fates (and maybe specifically abbys and ellies fate) are intertwined? that it was just made to happen? omg 😭
