“why are you staring?” you mumble, glancing up slightly from the project you’ve been working on for the past few hours. your tired eyes meet wonpil’s as he stares at you, taking in your appearance of messy hair that you’d thrown into a bun on the top of your head, chunky glasses perched on the end of your nose, and outfit that consisted of joggers and one of his oversized sweatshirts.

“i thought you only existed in a fairytale.”

he breathes out, and you can’t help the faint blush that rises to you cheeks while you roll your eyes before putting your focus back on your work. however wonpil just continues to stare, taking in every detail of you and wishing he could freeze frame this moment to live in for the rest of his life.

in what ways would wonpil indirectly show affection to his so?

so we already know that wonpil is a big cuddly baby, like being near you is enough to make his heart flutter

he loves seeing you happy, and he loves it even more if he’s the reason behind it

firstly, i think holding hands is a really big thing for him in terms of his love language. although it doesn’t seem indirect to you,

for him he can express his love to you through it

for example, if you’re out in public with him, if your fingers are laced together he knows that you’re by his side, and that he’s not going to lose you in crowded places

depending on the situation too he can comfort you if your hand is in his, he’d rub his thumb over your knuckles, and give your hand a gentle squeeze to soothe you and to let you know that he’s here for you, right next to you

and at times where he can’t hold your hand, he’ll brush his pinkie finger against yours

another thing would be to always make sure that you both get time together in the day to talk, whether that be physically face to face, or a facetime call

he would never let you go a day where you don’t hear from him, like if his schedule is filled to the absolute brim he’s still going to make sure he takes at least 5 minutes out so he can make sure that your day is going okay

it doesn’t matter to him if he’s had the worst possible day of his life, he could be having trouble songwriting, recording, or missing home, he has to make sure that asks you how you are

and if he has had a bad day, and he asks you how your day is and you reply that it’s bad too, his full focus will go on you, he’d forget about all his worries for a moment he just has to make sure that you’re alright

he would never want you to feel as if you’re forgotten, no matter how many times you reassure him that it’s okay for him to put his work first sometimes, he can’t let himself

wonpil would also do small things that make your day go a little smoother

if he has a day off and you have to go to work/school, he’s going to set his alarm for the same time as yours to make sure he can spend as much time with you as possible before you have to leave

(even if he just whines the whole time at you to stay home and cuddle with him)

i can see him being the type of boyfriend to leave you little notes in your lunch too

he’d always make sure that your headphones were in your bag, because he knows how much you hate to be out on your own without them

he’d install an app on your phone that sends you notifications throughout the day reminding you to drink water, and you stop for a minute and try to remember when you downloaded it, not knowing that wonpil did it it for you

he’d always be buying you little trinkets and gifts he sees during his day

if he’s away in another country he’d return home with half his suitcase full with little gifts for you

even if it’s just things like a small little keyring that reminded him of you

most of the conversations with his family would be about you

he’d gush about you so much to his mum

he’d talk a lot about having a future with you

he’d speak about things you could get to put in your big house you’re going to buy together and how you’ll decorate it to make it cosy

“we can adopt a dog!!! baby we have to adopt a dog!!!!! we should look at adopting a dog right now–“

on days when he comes home from the studio late and you’re waiting up for him to get home, he’d walk in and be like

“have you eaten yet?”

cue food dates at 1am while you’re both dressed in cosy hoodies and sweats

he would want to try and live the most normal life as possible with you

so late night dates would be one of his favourite things, because he can freely walk around the city without a mask and hat on, and show your relationship off to the empty streets

he’d stare at you a lot too, almost in disbelief that you’re actually his

he wouldn’t be able to believe that you still have the same affect on him as you did the first day he met you

he’d smile softly at you a lot, especially when you’re doing the most normal things

even if you’re just sat across from him scrolling through your phone, he looks at you like you’re the most precious angel in the world

when you’re sleeping and curled up next to him

some nights he’d purposely not fall asleep, just so he could watch you

the reason being would be because you inspire him so much at times like this

when he can trace the soft features of you face with the soft brush of his fingers

he’d take in every detail of you, from your eyelashes, to the curve of your nose, and the colour of your lips

he’d have so many half written songs that you’re the meaning behind

but he wouldn’t want to share them with you just yet, so for now he’d just hum the melody while you lay in his arms

and he’d whisper out the lyrics he’d already got down, and his heart would just feel so content

because yes, you’re asleep and you have no idea of the thoughts that go through your boyfriends head at 3am

but you’d also have no idea that you’re also his muse, because even if wonpil can’t scream from the rooftops that his heart belongs to you

the meaning behind any song he’s written, is always you

ah well i’ve always always wanted to be a professional makeup artist, it’s what i studied in college and i have qualifications in makeup artistry, however the industry is so difficult to get into so i guess i’ve sort of given up on it for now~ atm i just work in a high street clothing store but i’ll probably always dream of being a makeup artist in fashion shows or something!!
