FINDING YOURSELF AMIDST THE CHAOS
Tumblr media
"FINDING YOURSELF" IS NOT REALLY HOW IT WORKS.
YOU AREN'T A BILL IN LAST WINTER'S COAT POCKET.
YOU ARE ALSO NOT LOST.
YOUR TRUE SELF IS RIGHT THERE,
BURIED UNDER CULTURAL CONDITIONING,
OTHER PEDPLE'S OPINIONS,
AND INACCURATE CONCLUSIONS YOU DREW AS A KID THAT BECAME YOUR BELIEFS ABOUT WHO YOU ARE.
"FINDING YOURSELF" IS ACTUALLY RETURNING TO YOURSELF.
AN UNLEARNING,
AN EXCAVATION,
A REMEMBERING WHO YOU WERE BEFORE THE WORLD GOT ITS HANDS ON YOU.

The seashore
Tumblr media
The sound of the sea ,
the shore of the sea.
Dance with the waves,
move with the sea.
Let the rhythm of the water
set your soul free.

The Beauty Of It.
Tumblr media
I have often wondered
about the beauty of its
darkness
tall, short,
at ninety degrees angle
to my right left
at my rear,
(keeping watch) in front,
(running away) with the sun as its lover.
I have often wondered about the beauty of its
Darkness,
My Shadow.

I Wish I Wrote The Way I thought.
Tumblr media
I wish I wrote the way l thought;
Obsessively,
Incessantly,
With maddening hunger.
I'd write to the point of suffocation.
I'd write myself into nervous breakdowns,
Manuscripts spiralling out like tentacles into abysmal nothing.
And I'd write about you a lot more than I should.

Learning to be kinder to myself each day.
Tumblr media
This Summer I will forgive myself.
I'll braid my own hair and lay in the Sun.
I’ll go revisit those nostalgic times.
My past is farther behind me today.
And tomorrow I’ll say the same.
Time will leave me with peace.
I am allowing my Soul to be kind again this Summer.
Despite the old times,
I will learn to forgive myself.

I came across this cutie a few days back.
Tumblr media
And it reminded me of this quote that I love ,
“IT'S MY GOAL TO HAVE NO FINAL FORM.
TO NEVER BE DEFINED.
TO NEVER STOP EXPLORING, LEARNING.
TO EXPERIENCE LIFE AS LONG AS I'M ALIVE.”

let the rain fall.
Tumblr media
let the rain fall.
just let it.
just watch.
a storm or just a few drops.
just surrender.
maybe some magic will occur.
maybe you'll find your way home.
and maybe you'll be okay for a little while.
and maybe, just maybe, you'll start loving the rain.

How to cope with uncertainty ?
Tumblr media
Life is full of twists and turns. It's okay to make mistakes, change your mind, and learn as you go. Embrace the uncertainty and trust that things will fall into place. Remember, it's about the journey, not just the destination. Keep moving forward, one step at a time, and trust in your own path. You've got this!

Let’s talk about BROCA’s APHASIA 🧠
Tumblr media
Have you ever had that feeling where you know what you want to say but it doesn’t come out? That-tip-of-the-tongue feeling? And all the temporary frustration that comes with it?
This often occurs due to a failure in the the brain’s retrieval cues, i.e. a breakdown occurrs when searching for a word. It can happen when we’re tired, stressed or have too much on our minds all at once.
For some people with Aphasia, this is a daily phenomenon.
👉 Aphasia is a loss of language skills - not intellect. It impairs the expression and understanding of language as well as reading and writing.
👉 Rates of recovery vary between individuals, depending on the nature and severity of their condition.
👉 Aphasia is found in conditions such as stroke (which affects 40% of its survivors), and any other condition which affects the brain and nervous system, such as Dementia or a Brain tumour.
👉 Did you know there are many different types of aphasias? These can be broken down into the non-fluent type (e.g Broca’s, transcortical motor & global aphasia) and the fluent type (Anomic, conduction, Transcortical sensory & Wernickes).
👉 So what is being done? Researchers are exploring drug therapy and whether certain medications that affect chemical neurotransmitters in the brain can be used in combination with speech therapy to help restore damaged language functions.
👉 There are ongoing studies using functional magnetic resonance imagine (fMRI) to explore how language is processed in the typical developing brain vs damaged brain. If we can identify these processes then we can better understand brain ‘restoration’ and language recovery.
👉 Other research is looking at how brain stimulation techniques such as TMS and tDCS can temporarily alter brain activity and whether this might help people ‘re-learn’ language post injury.
Interesting stuff… what would you like to see or learn more about?
🌐 References: The Stroke Association; National Institute on Deadnesss , Wernicke proposed a model for language which involves both Wernicke’s area and Broca’s area and Other Communication Disorders.

The Mystery of the Abandoned Radio
Tumblr media
It all started one sunny afternoon when I received a call from a concerned citizen about a peculiar radio sitting on a ledge next to a bed of vibrant flowers in the middle of a bustling city square. The caller described the radio as an old-fashioned model, with intricate designs and delicate dials, which immediately piqued my interest.
Upon arrival at the scene, I carefully examined the radio, taking note of its exquisite craftsmanship and well-preserved condition. It seemed almost out of place amidst the modern surroundings, and I couldn't help but wonder about its history and how it came to be there.
Unable to contain my curiosity, I delved into the local archives and uncovered a surprising discovery. It turned out that the radio had once belonged to a renowned musician who had mysteriously disappeared several decades ago. According to reports from that time, the musician was last seen carrying the radio, which had been his prized possession.
As I continued my investigation, I stumbled upon a clue that led me to a hidden compartment within the radio. Inside, I found a letter written by the musician, detailing his love for the flowers that had been planted by his late wife. He expressed his desire for the radio to be placed next to the flowers as a tribute to her memory.
With this newfound information, I realised that the radio's placement next to the flowers was no accident. It was a poignant gesture of love and remembrance from a heartbroken man.
As word of my discovery spread, the local community rallied together to preserve the radio and flowers as a symbol of enduring love and loss. The once-abandoned radio became a cherished landmark, drawing visitors from far and wide who were moved by the touching story behind it.
In the end, the mystery of the abandoned radio had a bittersweet resolution, reminding us all of the power of love and the enduring legacy of those who have passed on. And for me, it was a reminder that even the most unexpected objects can hold a treasure trove of history and emotion.
Stay tuned for more such blogs :)

THE SEA SPEAKS MORE
To those willing to drown.
Tumblr media
We are all MUSEUMS OF FEARS!
Although there's many different brains, with different stories, different names, different isn't safe like same, so same makes most take safer aim.
Who needs those same old, same old fakes?
Today, that same old, lame mold breaks.
I'm me! I'm me! Meet me and see what a difference difference makes!

“Cogito, ergo sum”
I think therefore I am.
-René Descartes
Tumblr media
I used to dislike being sensitive. I thought it made me weak.
But take away thay single trait, and you take away the very essence of who I am.
You take away my conscience, my ability to empathize, my intuition, my creativity, my deep appreciation of the little things, my vivid inner life, my keen awareness to others pain and my passion for it all.

YOU'RE NEVER STUCK WHERE YOU ARE.
Tumblr media
There are moments in your life where you grow instantly. Your mind and your being is changed in a split second. You feel it right away and you can see yourself changing into a better version of yourself in the present moment.
But there are also elements of growth that happen gradually, slowly, and unknowingly. You wake up one day and the way you think is slightly different.
The way you respond to events is distinct. The way you feel is new. But you can't decipher when or how it happened, just that it did.
And what these two types of growth show about ourselves, is that we are endlessly a work in progress. Constantly evolving, meeting new parts of ourselves and letting go of parts that no longer serve us .
The beauty in it is that either way, we're never stuck where we are. This life continuously allows us to be more than what we were every moment.
I saw a dusty stairway with my friend today and we instantly talked about the small things which happen within our conscious mind and how we actually think about it. Being aware that our thoughts are consciously in active motion.

She’s an artist.
Tumblr media
She is an artist
she was broken
but somehow
she found peace
in the pieces
scattered across
the floor
she's an artist in the way
she pieces herself
back together
to create something stronger
and a bit more beautiful
than before.

I leave a small part of me in everything.
Tumblr media
In every step I take, in every word I say, in every glance, in every hidden note. I like to fantasise about the idea that one day one is willing to search all the puzzle pieces and put them into a mosaic only to discover that there was never once one red incoherent line, that everything put together creates even more question marks instead of removing them.
It may seem odd, but whenever I feel stuck in life I take a walk around the cemetery.
I look at all the different gravestones, sometimes I Imagine what kind of life they had, what kind of person they were.
What they regretted, how many times they fell in love, what kind of thoughts ran through their head in their last moments on this earth.
When I leave, I always feel strangely motivated - because will leave this earth someday, too.
But until then I am alive.
And until then I can create.
Life and death are two sides of the same coin, just as light and darkness.
Sometimes it's important to highlight the other one in order to find meaning in its counterpart.
Go get yourself that pretty bouquet of flowers today the one that makes you happy!
