It's that time again!

They came out of that dream I had where I was a paski janitor that jump-started my interest in this world again. So I'm pretty grateful to them!

Vo-Van's nickname translates basically to Chatterbox, which is a joke since they're pretty quiet and reserved. I don't have their full name yet, so stay tuned. I'm updating Binasinga naming conventions.

Vo-Van uses they/them pronouns in English because it's easier than explaining Binasinga gender flavors. Nonbinary, sure, we'll go with that. They're a janitor, which is a highly competitive field, and have been one for a couple decades, so they hold a senior position in their company. I believe they are assigned to a government office, possibly one that is responsible for making sure everyone has housing.

Binasinga are the smallest paski subspecies, with individuals rarely getting over about 5'7'' (1.7 meters) (for contrast, the average Caandiki or Raatasira male is 6'0''/1.8 meters, with females reaching 6'6''/1.9 meters; Pilasira ladies can easily reach 7'/2.1 meters). This makes paski infrastructure pretty frustrating to deal with for them. Their height and lack of horns mean they also get treated as children a lot of the time. Binasinga are, not coincidentally, the most likely subspecies to suffer strokes and heart attacks.

Vo-Van suffered a stroke about two years ago and has only recently been able to return to work. They have permanent paresis of their left arm and left side of the face, and have a wonky gait. They may be blind in their left eye as well. Since like most paski, Vo-Van is left handed, they've had to learn how to do a lot with their non-dominant hand.

They live on some integrated space station since I need to branch out from Unity Colony sometime. It's younger than Unity, so doesn't have the same fraught history, and has been able to work out some of the kinks easier.

So that's Vo-Van! I look forward to getting to know them more.

Horn update. Again trying to make things more cohesive and obvious which subspecies are related.

Pilasira now have larger horns that spiral up by their cheeks, like sheep. Caandiki now have the smooth, downward curving horns. In both subspecies males have a pigmented stripe on the horn and females do not.

Raatasira now have upwards-curving horns. Males have four to six tines and females have one. Binasinga have no horns, but if they did, they'd also get tines. The extinct Takasira subspecies also had upward-curving, tined horns.

Markings update for the communist llamas. I wanted to make things more cohesive and obvious that Raatasira/Binasinga are from one phylogenic tree and Pilasira/Caandiki are from another.

I am more than a month into a migraine so thinking hard, but I'm pretty sure I got the color genetics wrong for Pila/Caandi. But oh well, they're aliens and I, the artist, know what I mean.

Also sneak peak at my new janitor character. Their name is Vo-Van. I'll talk more about them later.

Anyway, these fuckers! I haven't drawn paski since like 2021 and am finally ready to work on them again. It's nice. I'm currently updating their designs, so this art here is pre-update.

Last night I had a really vivid dream that I was a paski janitor on Unity. I'd had a stroke or something so my left side was partially paralyzed. It was difficult to get around but I managed it. I was training a new employee, another paski.

Does this mean I'm ready to take this headworld off the backburner and start working on it again?

I told the neurologist that my ex-primary care doctor told me they don't work and not to get one, and she looked ready to stab a coworker to death. She said to get one.

My , faithful computer, Demeisen, finally died after ten years of hard work. So I've got a new laptop! It is very small and cute after honkin' big Demeisen.
