With the knowledge that Vulcan has regularly high winds & subsequent sandstorms I propose a type of guy: midwestern dads watching tornadoes but for Vulcans. It always upsets me so much when I see interpretations/illustrations of the two headed calf poem that show a living calf being torn away from its mother and killed to sell to a museum and framing the poem as being "humanity kills beautiful things for being different".

Two headed cows almost never survive more than a few hours after their birth. The farmer finds the *body* the next day. The calf was destined to die, and that's a tragedy, but for the time it was alive, it had a beautiful and unique experience.

It's not a poem about the cruelty of man. It's a poem about the beauty of life in an indifferent universe. It's about purpose and beauty being able to exist even in an existence doomed to come to an end, as all our lives are. It's not a poem about how a calf dies, but how, even for only a brief moment, it was alive.

And, for that moment, because of that life, however fleeting, the sky had twice as many stars.

Jess I cannot fucking lie to you, being like a Batman '66 style supervillain is my dream job. run around all day wearing a stupid outfit and making puns. silly themed crimes. the Adam West-era villains hardly ever kill anyone, even.

anyway I'd be the Birthday Boy and my whole schtick is taking large events hostage and demanding that everybody gives me their shit because I'm the little birthday boy and I need presents. this allows me and my terrible henchmen to wear new outfits for every shindig but I always have a shitty little party hat on a string. also I can try to kill Batman with fun shit like pin-the-tail on the donkey style saw traps and exploding pinatas. sorry that I said I didn't want to kill people and then immediately started coming up with lethal tactics, you know how it is.

In a team meeting where we are listening to customer calls that each team member took so we can give feedback and after each one the whole team just keeps saying the rep did amazing and if something went wrong in the call they blame it on the customer even when the rep definitely fumbled and could have handled it better. And I as a new member of this team didn’t want to come in guns blazing giving everyone critiques and being a general party pooper

I think one of the more annoying things about working customer service for a bank that I started out working as a branch employee for is now I’ll have customers call in with very simple problems that take like two minutes to solve and they’ll mention that they went to a branch who told them they couldn’t help them and that they need to call customer service. And like no they don’t. A branch employee is 100% capable of helping the customer with their problem which I know because I helped customers with the EXACT same problem while working at a branch so I know that they’re just sending these customers to me because they don’t feel like dealing with them.

I was looking at the cast list for TMA (as one does) and it reminded me of a character I forgot about: Lynne Hammond. She was one of Georgie and Melanie’s cult members, but she forgot her name. So, she started going by Celia. She is also voice by Lowri Ann Davies, the voice of Celia Ripley in TMAPG.

If she were just TMAGP’s version of Lynne Hammond, then I doubt she would still call herself Celia (plus all the other clues pointing to her being from TMA verse). Gerry and Gertrude still use their same names (just nicknames), so it would be weird for another character’s name to change. She is (probably) the same Celia.

I haven’t seen anyone point this out, but I might just be late to the party lol. I just wanted to put this out there for anyone else who hadn’t noticed. (I wouldn’t have realized without looking at the cast lists lol).

Does anyone in the Legends of Avantris fandom know if they are ever going to post Stardust Rhapsody to YouTube? I was only able to catch the first episode live and I probably can start watching episodes live again but I feel enough behind that I’d like to catch up first but they haven’t posted any of the episodes.

My favorite fanfiction trope is one I like to call accidentally fake real married and I don’t even know if it’s a real trope but basically it’s the idea that two characters get married accidentally and then they have to pretend that they got married because they love each other and while pretending to love each other they actually fall in love. I’ve literally only read two fics with this trope and they are literally the same story with different characters. Like in both fics the characters are celebrities or have some sort of following in their world, they get drunk Vegas married, post about being married on Twitter, and then are forced to pretend to be married on purpose to save their reputations all while planning a future divorce that will never end up happening as they realize they are actually in love with each other. I love this trope and I could read a million fics with the same premise but I don’t know if there are any more outside of these two so if you’ve read a fic with this premise I would love to know
