“or in other words, compared to me you’re essentially jesus christ.” xavian joked, enjoying their little back and forth. with how long it had been, he could no longer remember whether they’d once ever been like this or if it had always been hatred and awkward silences. though that didn’t matter now, or at least not for this moment. “not that i was in the right because i wasn’t but i mean, you got something better in the end. you deserve a million times better than my heart of stone.”

“i know, i do feel terrible about all the hearts i’ve broken trying to get myself up the social ladder but at the end of the day, it’s part of the game.” xai shrugged, though his mind was far too focused on her and the hair she’d tucked behind her ear to even realise what he was talking about. “no one expects me to ever settle down. not even my mum! so maybe a pr relationship is the best i’ll get.” he chuckled, his voice making it seem like he was kidding though the fear was there deep down. “hey, v, if you know a girl who’ll be immune then point me in her direction.”

xai eyed her intently. god, she was hot. though as much as he wanted to turn on his charm, his brain was too focused on the betrayal of his bandmates. “thanks babes. just know, i’m better without them.”
