Perhaps it was the champagne provided at the latest ball. Perhaps it was the growing tension between them that Aqua was too frightened to confront. Perhaps it was her own twisted mind and dark thoughts that allowed such a perverse shirking of their respective duties. Perhaps it was some combination of it all, or something else entirely... Whatever the case was, she found her back pressed into the silk and linens of an ornate bed as a frigid hand trailed languidly down her form.

The young Master’s thoughts were already muddled by the imbibements earlier in the night, and it was only exacerbated by the way Elsa’s every touch sent delightful chills up and down her spine. Even through the thick fabric of the suit she had worn to the prior ball, she could feel the way the Queen’s magic was weaved into every fiber of her being... Eyes had fluttered shut; light and shallow breaths the first sign of Aqua’s slowly growing arousal amid the myriad touches and chills. Despite the many clashing thoughts in her heart and her mind regarding Elsa, it was far too late to stop now with alcohol and pleasure induced hazes fogging her every sense. 

The shirt she wore had been pushed up slightly, exposing her midriff but thankfully leaving her once-mangled chest obscured, but it seemed that the other’s focus was on her lower body instead, as those slender digits hooked into the waistband of her suit pants. Aqua could feel and hear the button and zipper coming undone, just as she could sense Elsa’s eyes fixed firmly upon her face, drinking in every subtle gasp and twitch of her elegant features. Her own eyes fluttered open to capture that gaze, heady and wanting. 

The adoration in those twinkling blue eyes... it made her faded heart swell with warmth. Aqua reached out then, fingertips ghosting that platinum blonde hairline before cupping those rosy cheeks, and she smiled. Her eyes, once as vibrant and sky-blue as Elsa’s, drifted downward, softening at the sight of the other’s beautiful porcelain skin... The stunning dress the Queen wore had already slipped free of her torso, exposing the lacy undergarments beneath, and Aqua pursed her lips, her desire swelling even further. 

Sitting up at last, the young Master wanted so badly to touch Elsa, to bring her those same pleasant sensations that had left her oft-numb body tingling, and touch her she did. Hands slipped about the Queen’s waist, trailing up and down along the subtle bumps of her ribs, brushing ever-so-softly against the lace upon her chest, before her eyes fell further still, to Elsa’s hand slowly but surely tugging Aqua’s pants past her hips. Despite the masculine outerwear, her undergarments were nearly as frilly as the other’s, and she could feel the heat continuing to swell in her core and in her cheeks. The warmth of her aroused body mingled with the frigid touch of Elsa, and the sensational clash overwhelmed what little sense she had left.

Aqua was quick to move even closer, simultaneously pulling at the other woman’s waist to bring their bodies together. Their lips, too, joined in a flash, hungry and wanting, crashing together with a firmness that only the delightful mix of liquor and pleasure could induce. There would be time for regrets in the morning...

Tonight, Aqua wanted only to taste and feel every inch of Elsa...

She had always taken good care of herself. Before the Realm of Darkness, before the tragedies that twisted her, Aqua took great pride in keeping herself fit and healthy. Even though she sometimes lacked the motivation that once drove her in her younger years, good habits died hard, and the results were clearly shown in the way her usual attire hugged her athletic figure, form-fitting and flexible all at once. It drew eyes, that was certain, but she didn’t mind... especially when Riley’s eyes were the ones drawn.

It was a private, peaceful moment they shared, a few stray kisses leading to a full embrace. Aqua was content to lean against the other with eyes closed, bodies firmly pressed together. Riley’s lips were as soft and sweet upon her own as ever, and it was all too easy for the young Master to close her eyes, exhaling happily through her nose. Lips curled upwards even as they kissed, and before long, Aqua shifted, enough to press those very lips firmly against the cambion’s collarbone. 

It prompted the softest of groans from Riley, the kind she had heard in their most intimate of moments, and it was enough to spark something more than a simple embrace... Hands started to trail down the young Master’s back, fingertips sending a delightful chill down her spine. The muted gasp that escaped her further incentivized her lover, as that same hand traced down past her tailbone. Brows furrowed ever so slightly while she pursed her lips, stifling the softest of moans when Riley squeezed and kneaded her firm rear. Another kiss was bestowed along the cambion’s neck, a silent confirmation that her touch was more than welcome...

“It almost feels like I’m wearing nothing there...” She murmured into that sensitive flesh, pleasantly aware of the delightful sensation the other’s roaming hands brought her, as they always did. The tightness of her usual garb certainly had it’s benefits... Her eyes fluttered open to lock onto Riley’s, and her lips curled upward once more. Aqua’s voice had lilted, that gentle teasing tone that the cambion so easily brought out of her, “Don’t you think..?”

Another quiet moment with Riley. They were becoming a constant that Aqua had grown so very thankful for. Usually, moments of silence allowed her thoughts to wander to dark, insidious places, dwelling on the traumas she endured for ten long years... but whenever her dear cambion was nearby, she could almost relax. She could almost forget about her pain, if only for a moment. It was enough for her to reach out, as she had grown accustomed to doing, taking a gentle hold of Riley’s hand. Her thumb brushed idly along the other’s knuckles, and those deep blue eyes drifted upward to capture Riley’s own. 

The smallest of smiles graced her features, then, and she moved closer still, nestling her head carefully against a neck and a shoulder. Breathing in deeply, Aqua exhaled, long and slow, allowing the tension in her body to melt away. She didn’t want to close her eyes -- not yet, anyway. She didn’t want to be in darkness again. But, she lingered there, listening intently to the other’s breathing, feeling the subtlest of heartbeats through her neck... Anything to remind her that this was a real moment. Riley was there, physically there. She wasn’t another figment of her frayed mind, leading her astray, she was there, and there is where she hoped she would stay. 

“I...” The young Master wanted to speak, to let those feelings that had continued to bloom and flourish in their time together to finally be known without any doubt, and yet she froze. Three simple words could convey just what Riley meant to her... And yet she couldn’t find her voice. It was choked by her doubts and her insecurities, and her grip on the other’s hand tightened ever-so-slightly as she closed her eyes. A whisper slipped past her lips at last, hiding the disappointment in herself for not being entirely truthful, “..I’m so glad you’re here...”

..That would have to be enough, for now.

Aqua had come to know many worlds in her travels, but, more and more frequently, she found herself visiting Arendelle. She never forgot her original duty as a newly-named Keyblade Master: protecting the Pure Hearts from whatever darkness might threaten them. While she languished away in the Realm of Darkness, Sora had unintentionally taken that task on... and now that she was free to roam the worlds once more, Aqua redoubled her efforts. There were many Guardians of Light now, enough to protect multiple worlds and Pure Hearts simultaneously, or so she hoped...

..and while that was a good enough excuse to the others for her frequent visits to Arendelle, the young Master knew she had a more selfish reason. Of the Pure Hearts, one in particular had struck a chord within her faded heart... From the moment she met her, Aqua was drawn to Elsa. The Queen was one who had known loneliness -- had known isolation. The prismatic spells she weaved reminded her of her own magic... and the many admirers and suitors of the royal family could attest to her ethereal beauty. And for whatever reason, it seemed that this draw was mutual. It frightened her.

Was she overstepping her duties as a Guardian by allowing Elsa’s advances..? Was she being selfish by neglecting other Pure Hearts like the Queen’s own sister, Anna? How did she truly feel about Elsa..? These thoughts weighed heavily upon her as she changed out of the formal garb required by the latest ball and into her usual attire... So much that she failed to notice someone entering the private room until it was too late. A gasp tore from Aqua’s throat as she stared wide-eyed over her shoulder, arms instinctively rising to cover her exposed torso. “Don’t-!! Don’t look...”

It was an innocent mistake on Elsa’s part, Aqua knew that. But, even from the other side of the room, the many scars that Aqua bore were painfully apparent without her clothing to hide them... although the worst of them -- the gnarled round of discolored flesh upon her chest -- was still obscured from the Queen’s sight. She tried to retreat, hiding partially behind whatever furniture she could find as she scrambled to cover herself, “Please...”

Nowadays, most familiar faces were comforting ones. Seeing how Sora, Kairi, and Riku had grown up over the last decade made her feel so proud... Seeing Terra and Ventus again after so long apart filled her dying heart with warmth... With Xehanort and his ilk seemingly defeated, Aqua held some hope that she wouldn’t see any familiar faces that were decidedly not comforting... Of course, no good thing could last forever, and upon encountering the man with the eyepatch, the young Master stopped dead in her tracks. 

All those years ago, he was right at Xehanort’s side, and they had battled fiercely until he retreated and Vanitas ambushed her... She never knew his name. All she knew was that he was the enemy. He was there again at the Keyblade Graveyard, after she had finally returned to the Realm of Light... but there was no rematch that day. Aqua thought he had been vanquished like the rest, but there he stood, and there she bristled. Light flashed from her hand, sheer instinct calling upon her tried-and-true keyblade, and those faded blue hues narrowed, piercing the other with her cold gaze. While her allies basked in her motherly warmth, her foes met frigid ice, “..Why are you still here..?!”

To say she understood these handheld devices would have been among the grandest of lies. Sora, Kairi, and the others that were her junior seemed to take to the gummi phones like fish to water, but not Aqua, no. For a moment, she wondered if Terra had similar problems utilizing the many (admittedly convenient) features, or if this was a situation unique to herself... Such thoughts were quickly tossed out in favor of laments. Laments were all she was, anymore. Devices like this might have been life saving all those years ago, when Xehanort first revealed his true colors... ..Alas, time was never really on her side. So much of it lost to the Realm of Darkness. So much of it wasted in her shortened life. 

Slender digits flicked across the responsive screen, but not in the way Aqua had intended. Rather than scroll over, the infernal device decided instead to pick up and move one of the applications onto another one! And they both vanished into a folder! Now she had to tap a few extra times to open up the program she wanted to open up... With a frustrated sigh, the young Master set the gummi phone next to her seat upon a bench. You win for now, she thought, defeated. Her antics seemed to catch the attention of a young stranger, and she offered a sheepish smile -- a silent apology, “Ah... Technology is... not my strong suit, I’m afraid.”
