I can't believe what I'm about to say is a controversial opinion, but 'believe all women' is so inherently toxic, as proven by Johnny Depp's loss - despite the evidence he had against Heard. I cannot believe it.

No, don't believe all women. This isn't to say immediately discredit them either. Allow a fair, impartial trial - of which this one clearly hasn't been. There are vindictive women out there. There are women who lie, and cheat, and steal, and corrupt, and manipulate. Women are not innately good simply because they're women. That is not what feminism is about, and I'm pissed beyond words that it's resulted in this: in a man who was physically, verbally, and psychologically abused being written off. Why and how, I've absolutely no idea. It is staggering.

Feminism is about equality. Start treating it as such.

i wonder how many times amira has heard these kind of "jokes" from dani (or other people in her life) that she barely registers it anymore, continuing the conversation as usual, being warm and friendly and joking around. maybe she's heard it so many times that she's learnt to pick her battles and move on. maybe she doesn't have the courage to confront someone so directly about these things. maybe she fears the risk of losing the relationship she holds with the person for speaking out.

i really want this to be addressed further on in the season, perhaps through a conversation between amira and dani or one of her friends (would love a bench scene with one of the association girls!), and not become one of those plots eskam forgets about by the end of the season.

About to say something that could cause annoyance in some people but to be fair I don’t care, I need to get it off my chest ‘cause it’s getting to my nerves...Tamara is the softest in the world and I love her to pieces BUT GOOD GOD A PORTION OF HER STANS AND FANS ARE SO IRRITATING!!

Not to exaggerate but it’s probably one of the most toxic and annoying portion of the entire Skamverse fandom, the things they be writing on Twitter under the Skam España tag are crazy, for real they’re saying people watch Skam only for her? That Nicole did a shit job? That she’s the only valid person in the cast? Not to mention all the drama they always bring up on Instagram with hate accounts...GET A GRIP, Tamara deserves much better than this as well! (And of course I know that not everyone is like that and it’s just a small group of people that sadly ruin it but the amount of shit I read about other cast members is INSANE)

i’m having mixed feelings about dani as spanish yousef after reading people’s arguments against it like on the one hand white washing one of the few characters of colour in skam is bad because arabs/middle easterners get like few to no representation in the media, and when they are on the media it’s never good and we need people to see middle eastern/ north african characters shown in a positive light. islamophobia isn’t cute. but on the other hand i’m really impressionable bc i’m young and dumb especially by tv shows and the main reason skam is my favourite show is because there’s a muslim character!! even better than that there’s a muslim lead!! someone who lives and thinks and acts like me!! but from my stupid little muslim pov seeing every single female muslim character in any show always end up with a muslim guy or only have muslim guys like them kinda sounds like “only ‘your kind’ will ever be able to like you.” i know the yousef character isn’t muslim but he was brought up as muslim and he is described as “the most muslim guy i know” so to me he’s basically another muslim character which kinda reinforces the notion that muslim women are undesirable to non-muslims and i hate that!! so with the set up skam españa have had over the past few seasons for dani to be amiras love interest id really like to see it happen because id just like to see someone who’s definitely not muslim in any way has never been muslim isn’t muslim be interested in a muslim girl? because it must happen irl right? right? i don’t know why it would mean so much to me to see that happen like it would genuienly make me feel better about myself and less of an outcast??
