Okay so it's almost been a week since I last updated but I haven't even started on the next chapter. I don't even know what episode it's going to be. I've been distracted by the Switch 2 Direct and everything happening with that, that I didn't notice time was passing and I've just realised I'm supposed to be updating in 2 days.

Fanfic Update 19/03/2025

I made a schedule for this week. To get up at 6 am (which makes it easier for me to get out of bed but I'm used to staying up all night), walk my dog, exercise, shower and then start writing my fanfics.

Monday I got up 3 hours late which started off the week bad. I've been super distracted looking for a laptop and at some point I was rewatching Harley Quinn to watch the new season but I don't remember if that was last week or this week.

Anyway I planned on spending 25 hours on my Warriorbard fanfic and then 25 hours on my Vidarkness fanfic. (And 20+ hours on the weekend to upcale my Buffy DVDs.)

But I've written about a quarter of the first chapter of my Vidarkness fanfic (532 words) and I've found a faceclaim for Perdita and made clips of the source film for my Xena fanfic. I've also copied the script from Bitch of Rome but I haven't yet edited it to add all the details that I normally include nor edited the scenes that I want to edit.

I don't know if it's cause I got used to not getting up at 6am again while I had a seriously bad cold or if it's my ADHD or what. But I am absolutely exhausted and I've barely done what I wanted to do. And yeah it's only Wednesday but that should mean being half way through both and I'm not for either of them.

So I think I have to alternate weeks. I don't think doing 50 hours a week (for both) is sustainable. I think I'll continue to work on my Vidarkness fanfic for tomorrow and Friday, try and finish the chapter and then work on my Warriorbard fanfic next week. I updated The Adventure Begins last week, so I want to do Vidarkness this week.

Also I've now named my Soulmates AU so I'll be calling it Wherever You Stray, I Follow in any future posts.

Back from Hiatus

I'm limiting the number of images I'm doing to 14 so that I'm spending less time on editing images. But I'm also adding gifs for action/fight scenes with little talking. I came back from hiatus with a new skill that I'm going to put to good use with this fic series.

Fanfic Update 01/03/2025

I have no clue if anyone even cares about this, but I thought I'd make a post about what I'm planning for the next week.

I'm currently working on the final scene of Still Sitting in a Corner I Haunt and I hope to have the final chapter up by the end of the day. I'm working on this first so that I won't have any incomplete fanfics while working on my main 2 long fanfics.

Starting tomorrow, I'm going to be doing the images for the next chapter of The Adventure Begins, my sort of rewrite of Xena Warrior Princess that I've been writing since August 2024 and took a break from while my brain hyperfixated on Vidarkness (and other more personal shit happened like getting diagnosed with ADHD). It will be taken off hiatus status asap. I have the chapter written but I don't want to upload it without the images because I like doing them. I will be doing each season of XWP in seperate fanfics in a series.

Once I've got the next chapter of TAB uploaded I will then be starting to write the first chapter of my Vidarkness Soulmate AU (which I don't have a name for yet). It will be based on my gifset 25 Lives and will have 26 chapters total. One each for the 25 lives that end in angst and one that has a happy ending.

I also want to write a Vidarkness fanfic that will be even longer than the Soulmate AU, one about what I think their lives were like "in canon" before the show. But I'll start this one after the Soulmate AU is complete.

Since I'll be writing both Vidarkness and Warriorbard fanfics side by side, I don't know if I'll be posting regularly. I'll try to get a chapter for both out each week, but it also depends on what my ADHD brain will let me focus on.

To the 4 people (I think it was 4 seperate people) who sent me prompts when I asked, I can't for the life of me think of what to write for those prompts. I might come up with something at a later date but for now I think I need to focus on my longer fanfics. TAB has been on hiatus for too long now. I'm sorry to disappoint.

I can't believe it's March already. Where has the time gone?

This project has been on hiatus for a while. I got other ideas for fanfics, which I started on but still haven't completed. I celebrated my mom's, my brother's, and my own birthdays. I started hyperfixating on Agatha All Along and Dragon Age Veilguard. I've been trying to sort my life out and finally get my first job, unsuccessfully. I've had ideas for fanvids that I also haven't finished. On my 31st birthday on the 18th of October, I lost my brand new Loop Switch Earplugs and as I went down the steps from my seat in the ODEON screen to look for them, I fell over and bashed my shin on the sharp edge of the step. My leg got badly bruised and really swollen, I've never had an injury so bad. It's better now but still a bit swollen. I also recently had my ADHD assessment and got my diagnosis on the 4th November. I have inattentive type. Which is sometimes called ADD, but it is part of ADHD. I've now been referred to the ADHD service to get medication for it, but there's a month waiting time. I love the NHS, but damn is it severely underfunded and understaffed.

I've had a lot going on in my life right now including my brain deciding to focus on other things and I don't think I can get back to this until I'm on medication but I do plan on continuing this. I've been wanting to write a long ass Xena fanfic for almost 20 years now, so I will be pouring my heart and soul into this project. If you can, please be patient with me. Thanks for your understanding. 💚
